BETA CD Divination

OK - so zero install instructions and zero help, am I the only fool to have bought the CD?

executed an installed program called loader that I found and registered myself using the SN on the cover of CD

DGM came up and I clicked on galciv install (0.92mb) - Is this an upgrade to the version on my CD? Who knows?

After Installation (upgrade?) of my galciv it no longer runs!!!!! It just exits after 5 seconds of blank screen ! Now I have to uninstall and start again I guess!!

Should I have done this?
How do I know my version is up to date?
How do I use DGM from the CD?
Why are there no install instructions?

There didn't seem to be a need for a huge amount of instructions about installing or adding your serial number.

The developers can help out on why it might be crashing, but you should have had everything needed to run it and with the DGM (loader.exe/drengin.exe) configured, to download new updates.

Um, I don't know why you didn't get a wizard or anything from autorun...Are you running Windows XP? Windows XP has problems with auto-running, although I think that there's a patch out to fix it now.

Did Galciv generate a debug.err file? If it did, can you send it to me at [email protected]

I'm also asking the person who wrote the installer file to read this thread to see if he can figure out what's up with the cd install.
