LogonStudio...Why is this program so difficult to download/place skins into this program?

Hi Folks!

I did not see any support for this software. And, I cannot find any appropriate placement here on the Forums for this issue. For me, I have found it most difficult...actually impossible at this point...to get downloaded logon skins into the LogonStudio program.

What's going wrong?
I download with FireFox. I either save it or have FF open it. Usually when I open with logonstudio, i have to go in and fiddle with it to make it fit.

I will try to explain. I have no problem in the download of the logons themselves. The crux of the problem is msking the .zip/otherwise located on the desktop place itself into the LogonStudio.

if you look inside is there a file ending in .logonxp or a bunch of pics?

If it's in the logon extension then unzip it and double click it or right click and open with.
If it's pics then change the extension to .logonxp and the double click or right click and open with.

if your downloading it as a logonxp the just do one or the other

Comes from here: https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=3050&LibID=26&comments=1

On desktop double click. Then extract all files. Shows up as a file. Opening files shows up as pictures.

downloading = dialup - hang on

rename the zip to CIA.logonxp = then right click and open with logon studio

Same boat at this end. Slow, but I've found DSL to allow worms etc. to enter the system much, much, much faster. Dialup is safer.

or just right click on it and open with logon studio
i learn something everyday

Dialup is safer.

rural dialup = one step up from green acres - 3 days to get a virus

Followed your instructions and a very small window came up stating--"Only .logon fyles could be loaded". Note: LogonStudio showed a no load. Note: Um, not sure fyles is, but assume it to be files.

They need to work on this LogonStudio program.

WEIRD it worked for me - you didn't extract or open it first did you?
I downloaded it, explored, went back out, changed the .zip to .logonxp and right clicked - open with
then i right clicked on a different .zip file and saw logonstudio was in the options to open with also. forgot the the extensions used here are basically zips also.

are you trying the same one you downloaded last year. something about fyles rings a bell somewhere.
or did you download anew and try.

Maybe I should download fresh...since I had been attempting to get it to work prior to instructions .logonxp? I would not think "tampering" so to speak could cause it not to be changed to CIA.logonxp.

And one other thing to save a step or a bit of confusion. If it is a .logonxp file, just double-click on it and it will install itself in Logon Studio. No need to right click it and open with Logon Studio.

Well my friend, I out foxed it tonight. Downloaded it, opened it into a file. Then, went to my computer, program files, wincustomize, logon studio and opened it up. Then, I did the drag and drop and
