How can I make trancperancy in Beat Nik

I still need support since I'm very new

from WinCustomize Forums
As I'm a new beginner I would like some help. Actully, I used to only download from wincustomize.com for 2 years and now I'm begining to take part in creating instead of downloading. While I'm using Beat Nik, I don't know how to make some part of the background image transparent. If some1 can help me then comment (IF YOU'D HELP ONLYYY !!!)

It's been so long since I made a BeatNik skin......... trying to remember.

BeatNik uses GIF's, so if I recall correctly, the transparency is determined when you create the image. How that is done will depend on what software you're using. Check your help file.

Using Gimp 2.2, When select new, enter size, click advanced, for fill with select transparency. When save as .gif you will get 2 boxes come up just click ok to use default settings. Any part of the image you did not paint will be transparent. Just don't make where time will be displayed transparent, hard to read what you can't see.
