I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but i cannot figure out how to use any of the logon skins I downloaded. I put them all into the same folder, and open logon studio, and then I tried importing one, after entering a name, picking the file, and hitting ok, it just sits there, it doesnt do anything, so after a while of waiting, I hit "cancel" and "refresh list" and the name of the skin i just tried to import appears, but it doesnt have a preview and when I try to appy it, it just freezes the program. I also tryed hitting "load", but after i pick the file and hit open, no new skins apear in the list even after clicking "refresh list"

Sorry if this has been asked before, or if there is a help article somewhere about it, but i cant seem to find one, so if it has, please point me to one of these other posts/articles. Thanks

Maybe I can convert it to a logonui and you can convert it back? There's definately something wrong in Logon Studio because the problem happens to a lot of people. I've had it happen once, but a reinstall has worked for everyone I've talked to up until now, so I have no reference as to what might fix it. I'd be really interested if you do get it fixed to post here what the problem was so I can pass it on if it happens to somebody else in the future.

Anything I find out about this problem I'll definitely post...Meantime, I don't get to use some of your neat logons. I d/l any logons to make in logonui, since I guess I'm stuck.....

Apprentice Bash2cool I really don't know how to show you a photo, Logon Themes just will not load....The only thing I've been able to do is convert logonui themes and make them work....

Damn it Vinnie, fix that thing! And I hope it's not just mine. Maybe you could learn how to make it into a logonui and then convert it? Nah, not worth the trouble. Sorry man, thanx for keeping me updated. Maybe it has something to do with Icon Packager and all the stuff it's causing to happen to people's computers. Just a thought

Boss019 Good idea, I'm going to uninstall the newer version of IP, reboot, and then install an older version I have....If nothing else, it will eliminate IP as the problem....

I know how to help, but i need to go in like a minute to dunkin donuts. I have a question, after i make a log on, I set it as my log on but when i click on the background the username box does that transparency thing, i like that, but when im about to scroll over it, my mouse moves extremly slow. how can i fix that? I'll be back in like 30 minz, so if anyone can post something and help me thanx, when I get back I'll show you an easy way to use your log on skins, and it involves movin folders around. Thanx in advance for those who post!

Ok I am back! after you unzip the file, place it on the desktop.
Go to: My Computer > (the Harddrive)> Program Files> WinCustomize> LogonStudio.
Now with that window open, find the folder named "welcome 1" Copy and place it on the Desktop. Minimize the LogonStudio window. OPen the "welcome 1" folder. Every log on must have that same format, if it does not it will not work. The "Preview" File in the folder does not affect the outcome of the logon, that is the picture that will be displayed as a preview in LogOn Studio. Now replace certain things such as "Bitmap_100" Now rename the folder and place it in the "LogonStudio" folder. Once you open lofon studio you logon should be there. you may make more changes while in there. This is what i have done. Remember, you have to replace a Bmp file with a Bmp file, and a JPG file with a JPG file otherwise it will corrupt your logon. Heres a pic of how a customized one should look:

I have somebody at another site that's having kind of the same problem, so I'm trying to figure it out for him too. I think maybe if you download it to your desk, attach the file to an email, and email it back to yourself, then unzip it, put it in the recycle bin and click on it....nah...maybe not

When you first open it, options, then on the right = select bitmap editor , browse to the exe
