WindowBlinds & MS Word's Equation Editor

I have a problem using Microsoft Word's Equation Editor with Windowblinds skin applied.

Everytime I tried to use the menu bar of Equation Editor, the MS Word Help appears on the right. Then, none of the menu bar drop down item can actually be selected.

Anyone knows what is the cause of this? I tried many skins but the problem's still there.

Don't know the cause but until, if someone does answer with possible cause add to per application in WindowBlinds config. Open wb config, select per application, select add, browse for .exe, set for total exclusion.

Umm this is interesting. I use Equation editor in Word also. As an object. From the menu: insert, object, Microsoft Equation 3.0 I don't have the problem your having. I know it isn't much help. Cavan1 has probably your bet on getting it to run.

I have the same problem. This has occurred with Word 2000, Word XP, and Word 2003, using both the Windows 2000 and Windows XP operating systems. I just put it down to a minor glitch and carried on. Basically what seems to be happening is when you insert an equation as an object from within MSWord, the Equation Editor add-in opens within Word. When the Equation Editor is active, the normal MSWord menu item headings at the top of the Word window change to special Equation Editor menu item headings and drop-down menus. The problem when using WB--and this has been so from version 3.5 up to the current version (3.5 is when I first started using WB)--is that, while the "correct" Equation Editor menu toolbar headings appear, the drop-down "expanded" menus that should next appear when you click a menu heading that are specific to the Equation Editor DO NOT appear or if they do appear nothing happens when you click on them; if anything, "normal" Word expanded menus appear instead. Thus, you cannot use the various drop-down menu tools when running Equation Editor from within Window Blinds because they simply do not show up properly or do not function as intended. Apparently, WB does not pick up the add-in correctly. Note that you must do a "complete" install of Word/Office to get the Equation Editor; so many consumers are not even aware that it exists. I hope this is clear. If not, I could supply example screenshots if requested (and are given instructions on how to do so). Fortunately, I only need to use Equation Editor 3-4 times a year.

I am using Windows XP. MPD seems to explain it quite clearly. That's what I'm experiencing...
