problems with firefox

alright i had this problem fixed before, but i don't remember how i fixed it and my new methods don't work. when i apply a new windows blind, obviously sometimes the font colors are very close to white, which means they don't show up well in something like the address bar in firefox. i tried making a per application setting for firefox but for some reason, the setting doesn't have any affect. i've tried messing with the fonts & colors options in firefox but have had no luck with that either. i know it had something to do with parts of those 2 methods when i fixed it before.... anybody have an idea?
