Eidos Delays Two

Tomb Raider & Hitman Delayed

Gameindustry reports that Eidos has delayed the next games in its main franchises, Tomb Raider and Hitman. Tomb Raider: Legend and Hitman: Blood Money have both been delayed to early 2006 as part of the Eidos restructuring plan since they were purchased by SCi Entertainment Group in May. This is the first announcement since the acquisition and was implemented to "maximise their hit potential."

The announcement was expected since SCi had planned on giving their games additional development time to ensure that the quality was top notch,a good way to avoid games like Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness which caused Eidos to switch development companies from creators Core Design to Crystal Dynamics.
