Pirates of the Southern Seas

Pirates of the Southern Seas

Dreams

Dropbear was a dreamer. Not a dreamer of petty dreams such as dreams of wealth acquisition and being really nasty to people. But a dreamer of castles, and Princes and dragons and those are the best dreams of all.

But Dropbear can also be crazy and evil and shy and jealous and do horrible things. In other words he is a bit like pretty much everyone.

This tale is unusual because I can tell you the ending: Dropbear tried to repent of these evil ways. He wanted to stop being an evil, dreaming anti-hero. He wanted to do some good. But why did Dropbear want to be selfless and good? That needs some explanation.

The Freedom Force Pub

Dropbear was a Commander of the Freedom Force. He had fought missions and done his best, although his best was not always good enough. He loved his country and his mates, and he liked his new found adorableness. But he wanted more.

He wanted to be a ruthless irascible pirate like Pontius, or a conniving and handsome Spymaster like Gerakken, or a super-organised and respected Supreme Leader like Ray the Wanderer, or the President of the CariElf Fanclub like MM77, or a loveable and wise wombat like Wild Wombat. But he was none of those things, and never would be.

In other words, Dropbear was feeling a bit down and a bit jealous, and maybe a bit unloved. To stifle a sob he took a swig of a rather nice Kiwi pinot and looked around the bar. His current mates were here: a small group, loyal and true. The nightly chess game had ended with Bakka beating Ajm37 again.

Dropbear knew that he and Hurls would drink each other under the table before this night was through: he had found a good Shiraz, which Hurls would appreciate. But Dropbear also had another agenda for this night: he wanted to unburden his soul. And who else to do that with, than one’s mates?

As well, he had an ending to make: and a new beginning too.

Earlier

Dropbear’s Private Hell

Dropbear dropped the message crystal in disbelief. The moving image winked out. Yet, he picked the message crystal up again, and this time, replayed it, time and again. Afterwards, he had some thinking to do. With a heavy heart, he entered his battleaxe, the CariElf, and took her into space.

An Evil Pirate

Dropbear was evil and loved nothing better than to bribe and wheel and deal.

He measured the pirate with his eyes. The pirate could be suborned: Dropbear could see that in an instant. The question was at what cost? And with how much effort?

The gold, reflected in the pirate’s eyes, was a sparkle that held no lustre. But the pirate could not see that. “Arr. Gold. Bright and yellow, hard and cold. Heavy to get and light to hold.” The pirate squinted at Dropbear. “What must ah do, evil one, for the prize ya offer me?” Dropbear gazed back, with a forlorn look: “The price is high. But not so high that one such as you would not pay the price. Betrayal, spying, murder and mayhem. And…especially information. A bargain at any price!”

The pirate nodded. “Oh yes, a small price to pay for gold in the hand”. The pirate spat in his other hand and offered it to the bear. “Let’s shake adorable little bear”.

Dr Quinn’s Consulting Rooms

Dr Quinn was misunderstood. Long had she practiced and with quite good results. True, she had often misdiagnosed Pontius, but he made her nervous. She could not diagnose under pressure.

She cackled wildly. “Ah raven what shall we do? Our small collection of animals has dwindled to naught. How shall we continue our experiments, eh?” She whacked the dissection table with her scalpel. Dr Quinn’s raven fluttered and squawked. Quoth the Raven, “Nevermore!”

“Why Raven, do you admonish me?” She laughed gaily. “Animals of the woods we need, or better yet, talking animals! Yes, large talking animals. Or dare I dream…a man. MUHAHAHAHA”. She laughed a little insanely and drew the scalpel across her palm, with tenderness and a little madly.

The raven looked at the red, red blood in the flickering candlelight.

CariElf’s Temple

He walked down the boulevard, the memories almost overpowering. The fights, the tragedies, the characters, the Pres! The Temple shone with such a light as he approached: a light of clarity and goodness.

How did I leave the path of goodness so quickly, wondered Dropbear. How easily evilness beckons and then sucks one dry. He had fought his monsters and lost and could never return to the fold of the Viscountess. Or perhaps he could. No man can truly know the course of time, he thought.

But not yet. The pirate had been a useful spy on the Ship of Doom. Dropbear now had verification of the claims that had been made in the message crystal. “The burden I bear is too great”, wailed Dropbear. “The knowledge that I have, I can no longer hold and stay sane. I must confess, if only to my mates”.

Dropbear took one last soulful look, and left the Skowbo swamps, forlornly.

From the shadows the Pres watched him leave: “You shall return Vice Pres” he murmured. “And she shall heal your soul. Goodbye for now adorable, little bear” he shouted into the dank, swamp air.

The CariElf swept up into the sky and departed the planet, sadly.

Jimmie and Peggy-Sue

Peggy-Sue nodded enthusiastically. “I love Star Trek, and especially Captain Janeway. The power, the command, the authority”. The inflection on the last word made the waiter wince and move quickly past the couple’s table.

Foolishly, Jimmie wasn’t listening: “Yes and science fiction…”
“Oh, Jimmie. I love SciFi, the goofy stories and…and…all…that stuff”.
Jimmie was in seventh heaven. He had finally, he had truly, found his soul mate.

The Ship of Doom: The Officers’ Mess

CypherPax was being led out again. Mrs Pax stood at the door of the Officers’ mess, waiting patiently. She clutched a rolled-up magazine. Pontius shuddered: he knew how much pain a rolled-up newspaper could do: let alone a Marie Claire!

“Ah mate”, he said, “How’s the eye?” CypherPax looked from his good eye, silently imploring. Silently he mouthed ‘save me’. Pontius shook his head somewhat sadly, the Paxes had not been married long, and Cypher still had some learning experiences to suffer.

Cypher slumped as the waiters led him towards his doom: “The festering has stopped” he muttered, just before the door closed.

Pontius shook the Pirate Times and settled down for a read. The plush armchair enveloped him. Gerakken sat down beside him, somewhat stiffly: “Pontius, where was that banging coming from…” Pontius shook his head again: “Ya don’t want to know”.

Some minutes later, Pontius gasped: “Would ya look at this Gerras!”, inclining his head towards an article that only he could see.

Gerakken looked up sharply. He had his reports to flick through and was tiring of Pontius’ constant references to popular culture. “Who’s done what to whom?” he asked, concisely.

Pontius was oblivious. “Why, huh, gee, that’s funny…” He petered out. Gerakken was wise to this strategy, but could not help himself. “What, what, WHAT?”
Pontius looked up puzzled. “Um, gosh Gerras…settle down”. Pontius read out the article, which was directed at pirates and so was short and in very simple English. They looked thoughtful. “So the mutants are in turmoil! How odd.”

Jimmie’s Wedding

Young Jimmie’s wedding was spectacular. From the badly dressed bridesmaids, to the photo session in the botanical gardens, every piece had been carefully planned and executed.

Jimmie was beaming. “Gosh Mr Pax, what can I say. It has been magical. We fit like a hand in a glove. Why, my Peggy-Sue may be much older than me, but she has been the best thing that has walked through my front door since sliced bread”. Cypher looked as if he was about to say something, but he felt a presence behind him. “Of course lad”.

Peggy-Sue showed her engagement ring to her friends, Mary-Lou and Janeese. “Yea, it’s nice. It’s unusual. It’s different” they said in unison.

Pontius was leering at the women from a safe distance. He quickly looked around for Mrs Pilot who had momentarily disappeared, before leaning towards Gerakken. “What foxy ladies they are!” Gerakken looked at Pontius quizzically, before he coughed.

Mrs Pilot came up and saw the direction of Pontius’ gaze. “Ponshie!” She studied Pontius’ face very carefully: “They are pretty things aren’t they?” Pontius looked utterly innocent: “Oh, um. Actually, I hadn’t noticed”.

Pontius had learnt that lesson early and well.

The Ship of Doom: The Spymaster’s Coterie

‘Judge a man by his questions rather than by his answers’, thought the Spymaster. ‘Hmmm. I wonder what that means?’

Gerakken looked around his coterie. Spies and weasels, undercover men, standover men, Yor droids and chambermaids. A motley collection to make him proud.
“What news, my friends?” Before they could answer, Gerakken coughed suddenly: his flu was getting much worse.

Dr Quinn and Gerakken

Gerakken could barely lift his weak head. The Elven flu had taken hold of him, firmly.

“Dr Quinn, do you have aspirin?” Dr Quinn looked at Gerakken disconcertingly. “Ah, neurophen then…?” Dr Quinn began to take her blouse off, button by button, all the time licking her lips. In, out, in, out: darted her long, sharp, red tongue.

Gerakken blanched with fear. “Dr Quinn, I am a happily married man, what of your morals?” Dr Quinn shrugged: “Once I had morals. Once I was young”. The last button was undone.

Gerakken squirmed and thrashed. “But what of your ethics as a doctor? What of your doctor’s registration?” The blouse came off: “Once I had ethics. Once I was registered”.

The too-handsome Spymaster began to sob. He knew he should have taken Pontius’ advice and seen Dr Spock instead.

Peggy-Sue

Peggy-Sue sobbed. “There, there” said Mary-Lou with a hidden grin.

Peggy-Sue could not be consoled: “Mary-Lou, it has all changed. Since we married, Jimmie has changed.” This revelation shocked even Mary-Lou.

“If I’d known that the flowers and the nights out every night were going to stop, I’d never have got married!”

Finally

The Freedom Force Pub

Dropbear began his tale slowly, as if he lacked courage to continue.

“Mates, the story I tell you is pitiful, but it is not your pity I seek. This night I shall unburden my soul: and in truth I seek your understanding. I have not been lucky in love and long have I wished for the joy of marriage. The pleasure of sharing hobbies; discussing science fiction books; playing computer games together; all of those things that married couples do”.

The gathered mates nodded solemnly: they too wished to see every single, happy man married.

“Now I am evil, you know that. But I am a little crazy too. Once I lived on Skowbo, and held a position of some repute in the Viscountess’ employ”. The gathered group stirred, for Dropbear rarely spoke of those halcyon days.

“Ah, the adulation, the poetry, the chocolate….and Gerakken. Always Veteran Gerakken”. Dropbear’s chill voice became icy. He stifled a sob. “That handsome, common pirate tormented me. Why, do you know he won every award for his prose? Every one! I quoted Wordsworth for sheep’s sake! Do you think they knew. Or cared?”

Several minutes later Dropbear pulled himself together with some effort. Wombie looked tormented at the strain that showed on Dropbear’s face, the tears matting his fur. He felt Dropbear’s pulse, but let him continue.

“Now a pretty enough lass once visited the Temple. Oh, she was a game one. What a horn bag”. He chuckled. “The times we had...the laughter, the drinking, the late nights cavorting…”
The gathered mates looked both repelled and fascinated.

“But it didn’t last, why, it never does, does it? She left and never returned. I never heard from her again. That is, until this week! The shock! Her message told me all that had happened those many years ago….I have verified what she said of course”

Dropbear straightened and looked ahead without emotion. “This is why I tell you I am leaving the Freedom Force, to join the Pirates”. The group gaped, numb.

“Yea, it is something I must do, to make amends. I was not there when she needed me. She has since married and does not want me now. But our son…”

“You have a son?” asked Wombie quietly.

Dropbear looked down, he could not meet Wombie’s sad, knowing eyes.

“Yes, Peggy-Sue had our son. He was born in the dark recesses of a cargo freighter. The freighter was raided soon after by pirates and our kid was kidnapped. She traced the ship, which did the deed: The Ship of Doom! This is now my destiny! To become a pirate and find my son: to give him the father he never had!”

The gathered mates began crying and hugging as one.
There had been an ending, but a good beginning as well, at least that was how Dropbear felt.

Postscript

Wombie packed his bags thoughtfully. Mates stick together he thought. Hurls came in, and the rest, carrying their bags. “There is one other thing that I didn’t understand last night, Wild Wombat” said Hurley with a frown. “What is Dropbear’s special power?”
Wombie grinned. “Haven’t ya worked it out yet? Why, it’s glamour. When he looks forlorn, ya have to adore him. What a nifty power to have!”

The soon-to-be pirates nodded, thoughtfully. Of course.

It's sunday night, I actually played 2 hours of GalCiv... which is 2 hours more than I played last week.

Toasted the Altarians, Yor have 4 systems, Drendins 3, but the Arceans and the Torians might take a little longer. Hmmm... can't decide whether or not to take out the Drendin or protect them from the Torians until they flip. Decisions, Decisions, Decisions...

Sounds like we're all at out desks tonight. Too bad the transporter isn't a real technology ... it's be much more fun if we could all be at a bar together.

Speaking of which, I might go have some wine with Mrs. Pax. She's bound to wander over here and figure out I'm conquering the galaxy and not working if I don't stop soon.

Cheers,

Cypher

War of the Worlds

Wombat looked out of the viewport in his cabin, admiring the Doppler trails created by the Pegasus' transwarp drive. His thoughts turned, not for the first time, to home, and his beautiful wife and ten little nippers. Just before he left Mrs.Wombat had told him they were expecting eight more, and he wondered about the difficulties of the pirate life and leaving the missus to cope with eighteen on her own. At least the Social Security payments would keep up the instalments on the Jag, and the mansion.

They had tracked Nadreck through half a dozen star systems, always just failing to be in the right place at the right time, avoiding trap after trap, missing him by scant minutes in the Hestia system. The Yor Controller seemed one step ahead of them. Troubled by these morose thoughts, Wombat wandered down to the aft cargo hold, where Killa was putting the finishing touches to a gazebo. "Beautiful job, mate."

"Thanks Wombie - Cypher sent over the specs from the Doom."

ajm's voice sounded over the comm system. "Get up to the bridge you two - we're finally got him. And this time he's got company!"

Wombat and Killa joined their companions on the command deck of the Pegasus. The forward view screen showed a long rectangular ship with an odd rotating midsection engaged with three Yor battle cruisers, sending out bolts of strange liquid against its foes. Wombat saw the word "Retox" emblazoned across the strange vessel's hull.

I have analysed the...unusual weaponry the new ship employs. Processing the data on the tactical analysis screen. The unidentified ship somehow superenergises alcohol-based mixtures and uses particle acceleration to blast them at the opposing ships.

Wild Wombat watched as a Photon Japanese Slipper hit one of the Yor cruisers amidships, buckling the hull and rendering it useless in any further combat. An Ionised Slingapore Sling struck a second cruiser across the starboard nacelle, plasma beginning to leak wildly from the injured ship. "He looks like he can take care of himself! Focus on Nadreck's ship - forward disruptor banks target engines, shield and weapons - fire at will!"

WIth the help of the mystery drink-flinger, Nadreck's cruiser was quickly incapacitated and the two escorts destroyed. The Pegasus positioned herself for ship-to-ship boarding, while the pirates readied themselves in the airlock hatch. Wombat looked around at his comrades. ajm was closest to the airlock door, having chosen his favourite manifestation of a six foot long nightmarish thorny devil. He loved charging in first - which was very comforting and generally scared the crap out of whatever was waiting on the other side of the airlock. Hurley stood quietly, rocking back and forward slowly on the balls of his flippers. Killa slouched nonchalantly beside him, murmuring a sonnet to himself. Wild Wombat grinned fiercely, and drew his precious laser cutlass. These moments were always ones he treasured.

Grappling hooks engaged. Standby for ship-to-ship lock on. And boys...be careful.

The metallic grating sound of lock-on was followed by the hiss of pressure equalisation. The pirates burst out of the airlock, to be greeted by alcohol fumes from damage caused by the mystery attacker's projectiles. The fumes seemed to disorient the few Yor defenders, while strangely invigourating the pirates. Wombat's cutlass flashed as he saw Hurley somersault over two Yor guards and extend both flippers to take them out as he passed over them. ajm's tail twitched back and forth and several Yor fell with each mighty swipe, while Killa put the smackdown on the remaining guards.

The pirates made their way to the bridge of the cruiser, which had suffered extensive damage from the attacks. From the smell here, a Plasma Harvey Wallbanger had struck the bridge full on. Nadreck lay crumpled among the wreckage, moving feebly. "Now to get the truth out of him!" cried Killa.

"Perhaps I can help with that." said a voice behind them. Or rather, the pirates heard the voice inside their heads, which happened to belong to a small purple duck standing in the bridge doorway. "I am Quack. Would you mind telling me who this fruit loop is and why he tried to wipe out my ship?"

Hurley quickly filled in the visitor on their adventures to date. "OK...let's see what this bucket of bolts knows." The purple duck hopped up on the the steel chest plate of the Yor Controller and looked directly at him. The Yor had enough energy left to chuckle: "What, after all this - you're going to peck me to deathARRGH!...uunh...no...NNOOOO!" The duck's gaze bored in to the Yor, who would no doubt have been sweating by this stage, if he had the glands. As it was, small buzzing sounds began emanating from Nadreck. Suddenly, as the Yor's final defences gave way, a series of kaleidoscopic images flashed into the pirates' minds....

[****FLASH****]

A bright sunny day, strolling down the steps of the Palace de Challot, towards the Eiffel Tower, watching the humans eating crepes, laughing and smiling. Hundreds waiting to ascend the Tower....

[****FLASH****]

A smoky, ill-lit room with strange music from a collection of instruments played on the stage. Discordant noises compared with the sophisticated perfection of Yor music. A one-armed man leaned over towards him: "When the Judy problem is taken care of, that sector will be ours to control...."

[****FLASH****]

A giant nursery, rows of human babies all swaddled in cribs, sleeping peacefully. Doctors and nurses moving among the infants, tucking them in, monitoring them...but the doctors and nurses are Torian....

[****FLASH****]

Vector approach to a space station, hidden in a trinary star system. Near impossible approach complicated by asteroid swarm...hoping that trips to this menacing location are few indeed....

Hurley adriotly flippered Quack off the Yor's chestplate and out of harm's way just before an electrical surge through the skull and chest signalled Nadreck's final demise. "Not sure what to make of all that." said the purple duck. "Listen, if you fellows have the time, how about popping over to my ship for a quick one?"

Four days later, the friends took their leave at the airlock of the Retox. Quack has easily mastered the initiation ceremonies and had become the newest member of the Posse. Wombat couldn't remember exactly what the ceremonies were, although he knew they involved large quantities of alcohol. Somewhere deep in his wombat inner self, he thought that this explained why he couldn't remember. He complimented Quack on the design of the Retox.

"Yep - she's a beauty. Ya gotta watch that spinning section though. We have problems when crewmembers do a little too much celebrating and stumble into the spinning section by mistake...well, suffice it to say that section has the most advanced cleaning system in the known Metaverse."

The pirates agreed to continue hunting down the clues revealed in the flashes of Nadreck's memory."I seem to remember stories of a one-armed man", mused Quack, "If I hear anything, I'll let you know. For now, let's split up - we can cover more space that way. Call if you need me."

Wombat nodded. "Our path leads to Earth, I think." The four returned to the Pegasus.

And where do you think you've been? All very well for you lot to go boozing - when I had plans....

The Retox peeled away, sensors searching out the nearest jump point to hyperspace. The Pegasus fired up her transwarp engines and plotted a course...for Earth....

Hear Hear!!! Wombie, make sure you keep track of where each episode is. I'd like to re-read the whole story again when it's 'complete'. LOL

If someone points me to a public domain picture of a Wookie, I'll whip up TheQuack's event so the Jedi's can post it on their site...Actually, I've already made the event, giggling the entire time, mind you. But I need a picture for it. Any help?

H5O, if you're still looking, here you go. Against my better judgement, but this may help:

http://cgi.theforce.net/theforce/multimedia/imageFolio.cgi?direct=Images/Classic_Trilogy/Characters/Chewbacca

As far as I can tell in the legal-ese, most of these are public domain. Should give you a decent selection.

Moff Tarkin, head of Jedi Republic Security, is already getting ready for the onslaught. Honest stormtroopers are being forced to give up their "coffee-'n'-donut hour" to make a police presence felt and ensure that this stuff doesn't get onto the streets of Coruscant.

Excellent Wombie, sorry about not being very active of late, have been tied up... That's the problem with being a wayfarer, so many places to go... but like the idea of Quack's booze cruiser.. do you have any australian reds perchance?
Thanks much. No really good pictures of Chewbacca gettin' it on (obviously), but I found one where he's got a 'come hither' look, hopefully that'll suffice.

If the Jedis want to post it on their site, great. Right now, you can download the event at:

Hmm... should I poison your minds with the star wars christmas special or not... oh, what the hell. Just look for it on any decent search engine. Don't blame me for any trauma if you decide to download and watch the damn thing, though.

As for the picture - well, this was a bit of work, looking for a few decent pics from the special and putting them together, but there's been such an outcry for wookie porn that, well, I just had to do this. Okay, it's not that hardcore, but it's the best I could do from a christmas special. Hey HawaiiFive-O, would you mind putting this picture on the event? Cheers.

The other one's his wife. Well, I think it's his wife - actually, I've got absolutely no idea. When we make wookie porn, we always try and have the female one wear a pink ribbon or something.

Of course. Updated the zip file with the new picture. Here's the link again:

Publicizing this sort of thing is against everything the Jedi stand for - except for freedom of the press.

You lot with the wookie stuff are just scary....consider my mind thoroughly poisoned...

Thanks for the cheers guys - and Wayfarer - I'd love to write you in, mate; just give us some clues, you know, maybe favourite animal shape, or the superpower you've always wished for...anything to work with would be great. Quack's booze cruiser was his idea, not mine - but I absolutely love it! I do have a few reds, whites, ports, basically anything with an alcohol rating on it....

Can I also say that I think this should be a freeform writing exercise? That is, I suggest we keep it open - if you want to write adventures, go right ahead, don't worry if they don't 'fit in' to what looks like a sequence. Take a holiday from the Pegasus and do whatever with your character. Short bits, long bits - doesn't matter. Quack, if you want to go chasing a one-armed man, be my guest, or not, as the case may be. I love your stories.

Remember where we are: Planet Stardock. No rules. Just submit it.

And Killa - I sent you two longish emails on the weekend - did you get them?

Obi - advertise here whenever you want, as far as I am concerned! I go to the site just to gaze at those graphics!!

As is the Wayfarers want to wander the Galactic Ocean preying on unsuspecting aliens, moving with stealth and a certain amount of foreboding, the Great White Southern Ocean Shark is a tag I have picked up along the way. The ability to move unseen and strike when least expected and then have a beer or three afterwards.

Nothing better after a hards days alien slaying

ajm - hang in mate, keep pushing the s*** uphill, you'll get there in the end. I was the one who found the pic of the thorny devil - I was really pleased with it! (if I do say so myself) Kit writes the words on the site - the poor Yank probably has no idea what a thorney is and I forgot to enlighten him! Kit - if you're reading - a snappy comment about tough lizards, please!

Wayfarer - a shark!! EXXEEELLLLEEENNNNTTTTT! (in Monty Burns voice) Marine creature in outer space, eh? This will be testing.... Are there any Buffy fans out there? I remember an episode with a shark-like debt collector, shark head, human body...hmmm....I'll work on it!

Wayfarer - AAH! SHARK-BOY!
(I would have added a picture of Bart as Shark-Boy, but I couldn't find one. sowwy (:( )

Hurley - i'm surprised you haven't asked about the antartic killer penguins set on world domination. back then, of course, they were thermo-nuclear, and they'd just beaten the northern polar bears, so they could start infiltrating governments... but that's another story :-p

Wombat - yeah, we've got some cordial and lemonade on board as well. Normally, it's illegal to drink soft drinks like that on duty, but we occasionally need it for diplomatic functions, resupplying sissy colonies, etc... as for rules, I'm happy with the same sort of thing I made up on the CariElf thread: don't go killing other characters and blowing up their ships (if you want to go down in a blaze of glory, that's your call). Everything else is fair game :-)

---

Thanks for the support for the wookie porn event - I just looked up how to write event files, I might make a few more from start to end (not about wookie porn this time) and submit them in the library. Hey vets, are there any specific bonuses/penalties you think we need to see more of in events? I'm sure I could whip up a decent script around them :-p

ROFL, any of you people watch Pizza? Any non-australians ever heard of it? It's fully sick, bro!
It turned my mind into the diseased piece of filth it is today... here's an example from the one I just watched (it's all from memory, but you should get the idea)

Habib's been pulled over by the cops in his car. His mate, Rocky, is playing around with a couple girls in the back seat, but Rocky doesn't care about the cop and just keeps going.

Cop: I don't suppose you've got a receipt for that mobile phone...
Habib: Which one?
(he's got about 20 stolen mobiles next to him)

Cop: And you don't know anything about the idiot who
chopped down a tree in the local park...
Habib: Which idiot?
(he has a flashback to chopping down a park tree with a chainsaw for his boss's christmas party, and he still has the tree tied to the back of his car...)

Cop: (looks in the back) And you don't know anything about school-girls truanting with gang members?
Habib: But their parents gave them permission slips!
Come on, what dya take? Credit cards? Cash? Drugs? (glances in the back) School-girls?

His sleek shark shaped ship moved in underneath the unsuspecting Yor. It's mouth opened up to reveal sonic saw blades along with some powerful G.R.O.S.S. modifications (death Ray Zorchers, Class 7.
