Pirates of the Southern Seas

Pirates of the Southern Seas

Dreams

Dropbear was a dreamer. Not a dreamer of petty dreams such as dreams of wealth acquisition and being really nasty to people. But a dreamer of castles, and Princes and dragons and those are the best dreams of all.

But Dropbear can also be crazy and evil and shy and jealous and do horrible things. In other words he is a bit like pretty much everyone.

This tale is unusual because I can tell you the ending: Dropbear tried to repent of these evil ways. He wanted to stop being an evil, dreaming anti-hero. He wanted to do some good. But why did Dropbear want to be selfless and good? That needs some explanation.

The Freedom Force Pub

Dropbear was a Commander of the Freedom Force. He had fought missions and done his best, although his best was not always good enough. He loved his country and his mates, and he liked his new found adorableness. But he wanted more.

He wanted to be a ruthless irascible pirate like Pontius, or a conniving and handsome Spymaster like Gerakken, or a super-organised and respected Supreme Leader like Ray the Wanderer, or the President of the CariElf Fanclub like MM77, or a loveable and wise wombat like Wild Wombat. But he was none of those things, and never would be.

In other words, Dropbear was feeling a bit down and a bit jealous, and maybe a bit unloved. To stifle a sob he took a swig of a rather nice Kiwi pinot and looked around the bar. His current mates were here: a small group, loyal and true. The nightly chess game had ended with Bakka beating Ajm37 again.

Dropbear knew that he and Hurls would drink each other under the table before this night was through: he had found a good Shiraz, which Hurls would appreciate. But Dropbear also had another agenda for this night: he wanted to unburden his soul. And who else to do that with, than one’s mates?

As well, he had an ending to make: and a new beginning too.

Earlier

Dropbear’s Private Hell

Dropbear dropped the message crystal in disbelief. The moving image winked out. Yet, he picked the message crystal up again, and this time, replayed it, time and again. Afterwards, he had some thinking to do. With a heavy heart, he entered his battleaxe, the CariElf, and took her into space.

An Evil Pirate

Dropbear was evil and loved nothing better than to bribe and wheel and deal.

He measured the pirate with his eyes. The pirate could be suborned: Dropbear could see that in an instant. The question was at what cost? And with how much effort?

The gold, reflected in the pirate’s eyes, was a sparkle that held no lustre. But the pirate could not see that. “Arr. Gold. Bright and yellow, hard and cold. Heavy to get and light to hold.” The pirate squinted at Dropbear. “What must ah do, evil one, for the prize ya offer me?” Dropbear gazed back, with a forlorn look: “The price is high. But not so high that one such as you would not pay the price. Betrayal, spying, murder and mayhem. And…especially information. A bargain at any price!”

The pirate nodded. “Oh yes, a small price to pay for gold in the hand”. The pirate spat in his other hand and offered it to the bear. “Let’s shake adorable little bear”.

Dr Quinn’s Consulting Rooms

Dr Quinn was misunderstood. Long had she practiced and with quite good results. True, she had often misdiagnosed Pontius, but he made her nervous. She could not diagnose under pressure.

She cackled wildly. “Ah raven what shall we do? Our small collection of animals has dwindled to naught. How shall we continue our experiments, eh?” She whacked the dissection table with her scalpel. Dr Quinn’s raven fluttered and squawked. Quoth the Raven, “Nevermore!”

“Why Raven, do you admonish me?” She laughed gaily. “Animals of the woods we need, or better yet, talking animals! Yes, large talking animals. Or dare I dream…a man. MUHAHAHAHA”. She laughed a little insanely and drew the scalpel across her palm, with tenderness and a little madly.

The raven looked at the red, red blood in the flickering candlelight.

CariElf’s Temple

He walked down the boulevard, the memories almost overpowering. The fights, the tragedies, the characters, the Pres! The Temple shone with such a light as he approached: a light of clarity and goodness.

How did I leave the path of goodness so quickly, wondered Dropbear. How easily evilness beckons and then sucks one dry. He had fought his monsters and lost and could never return to the fold of the Viscountess. Or perhaps he could. No man can truly know the course of time, he thought.

But not yet. The pirate had been a useful spy on the Ship of Doom. Dropbear now had verification of the claims that had been made in the message crystal. “The burden I bear is too great”, wailed Dropbear. “The knowledge that I have, I can no longer hold and stay sane. I must confess, if only to my mates”.

Dropbear took one last soulful look, and left the Skowbo swamps, forlornly.

From the shadows the Pres watched him leave: “You shall return Vice Pres” he murmured. “And she shall heal your soul. Goodbye for now adorable, little bear” he shouted into the dank, swamp air.

The CariElf swept up into the sky and departed the planet, sadly.

Jimmie and Peggy-Sue

Peggy-Sue nodded enthusiastically. “I love Star Trek, and especially Captain Janeway. The power, the command, the authority”. The inflection on the last word made the waiter wince and move quickly past the couple’s table.

Foolishly, Jimmie wasn’t listening: “Yes and science fiction…”
“Oh, Jimmie. I love SciFi, the goofy stories and…and…all…that stuff”.
Jimmie was in seventh heaven. He had finally, he had truly, found his soul mate.

The Ship of Doom: The Officers’ Mess

CypherPax was being led out again. Mrs Pax stood at the door of the Officers’ mess, waiting patiently. She clutched a rolled-up magazine. Pontius shuddered: he knew how much pain a rolled-up newspaper could do: let alone a Marie Claire!

“Ah mate”, he said, “How’s the eye?” CypherPax looked from his good eye, silently imploring. Silently he mouthed ‘save me’. Pontius shook his head somewhat sadly, the Paxes had not been married long, and Cypher still had some learning experiences to suffer.

Cypher slumped as the waiters led him towards his doom: “The festering has stopped” he muttered, just before the door closed.

Pontius shook the Pirate Times and settled down for a read. The plush armchair enveloped him. Gerakken sat down beside him, somewhat stiffly: “Pontius, where was that banging coming from…” Pontius shook his head again: “Ya don’t want to know”.

Some minutes later, Pontius gasped: “Would ya look at this Gerras!”, inclining his head towards an article that only he could see.

Gerakken looked up sharply. He had his reports to flick through and was tiring of Pontius’ constant references to popular culture. “Who’s done what to whom?” he asked, concisely.

Pontius was oblivious. “Why, huh, gee, that’s funny…” He petered out. Gerakken was wise to this strategy, but could not help himself. “What, what, WHAT?”
Pontius looked up puzzled. “Um, gosh Gerras…settle down”. Pontius read out the article, which was directed at pirates and so was short and in very simple English. They looked thoughtful. “So the mutants are in turmoil! How odd.”

Jimmie’s Wedding

Young Jimmie’s wedding was spectacular. From the badly dressed bridesmaids, to the photo session in the botanical gardens, every piece had been carefully planned and executed.

Jimmie was beaming. “Gosh Mr Pax, what can I say. It has been magical. We fit like a hand in a glove. Why, my Peggy-Sue may be much older than me, but she has been the best thing that has walked through my front door since sliced bread”. Cypher looked as if he was about to say something, but he felt a presence behind him. “Of course lad”.

Peggy-Sue showed her engagement ring to her friends, Mary-Lou and Janeese. “Yea, it’s nice. It’s unusual. It’s different” they said in unison.

Pontius was leering at the women from a safe distance. He quickly looked around for Mrs Pilot who had momentarily disappeared, before leaning towards Gerakken. “What foxy ladies they are!” Gerakken looked at Pontius quizzically, before he coughed.

Mrs Pilot came up and saw the direction of Pontius’ gaze. “Ponshie!” She studied Pontius’ face very carefully: “They are pretty things aren’t they?” Pontius looked utterly innocent: “Oh, um. Actually, I hadn’t noticed”.

Pontius had learnt that lesson early and well.

The Ship of Doom: The Spymaster’s Coterie

‘Judge a man by his questions rather than by his answers’, thought the Spymaster. ‘Hmmm. I wonder what that means?’

Gerakken looked around his coterie. Spies and weasels, undercover men, standover men, Yor droids and chambermaids. A motley collection to make him proud.
“What news, my friends?” Before they could answer, Gerakken coughed suddenly: his flu was getting much worse.

Dr Quinn and Gerakken

Gerakken could barely lift his weak head. The Elven flu had taken hold of him, firmly.

“Dr Quinn, do you have aspirin?” Dr Quinn looked at Gerakken disconcertingly. “Ah, neurophen then…?” Dr Quinn began to take her blouse off, button by button, all the time licking her lips. In, out, in, out: darted her long, sharp, red tongue.

Gerakken blanched with fear. “Dr Quinn, I am a happily married man, what of your morals?” Dr Quinn shrugged: “Once I had morals. Once I was young”. The last button was undone.

Gerakken squirmed and thrashed. “But what of your ethics as a doctor? What of your doctor’s registration?” The blouse came off: “Once I had ethics. Once I was registered”.

The too-handsome Spymaster began to sob. He knew he should have taken Pontius’ advice and seen Dr Spock instead.

Peggy-Sue

Peggy-Sue sobbed. “There, there” said Mary-Lou with a hidden grin.

Peggy-Sue could not be consoled: “Mary-Lou, it has all changed. Since we married, Jimmie has changed.” This revelation shocked even Mary-Lou.

“If I’d known that the flowers and the nights out every night were going to stop, I’d never have got married!”

Finally

The Freedom Force Pub

Dropbear began his tale slowly, as if he lacked courage to continue.

“Mates, the story I tell you is pitiful, but it is not your pity I seek. This night I shall unburden my soul: and in truth I seek your understanding. I have not been lucky in love and long have I wished for the joy of marriage. The pleasure of sharing hobbies; discussing science fiction books; playing computer games together; all of those things that married couples do”.

The gathered mates nodded solemnly: they too wished to see every single, happy man married.

“Now I am evil, you know that. But I am a little crazy too. Once I lived on Skowbo, and held a position of some repute in the Viscountess’ employ”. The gathered group stirred, for Dropbear rarely spoke of those halcyon days.

“Ah, the adulation, the poetry, the chocolate….and Gerakken. Always Veteran Gerakken”. Dropbear’s chill voice became icy. He stifled a sob. “That handsome, common pirate tormented me. Why, do you know he won every award for his prose? Every one! I quoted Wordsworth for sheep’s sake! Do you think they knew. Or cared?”

Several minutes later Dropbear pulled himself together with some effort. Wombie looked tormented at the strain that showed on Dropbear’s face, the tears matting his fur. He felt Dropbear’s pulse, but let him continue.

“Now a pretty enough lass once visited the Temple. Oh, she was a game one. What a horn bag”. He chuckled. “The times we had...the laughter, the drinking, the late nights cavorting…”
The gathered mates looked both repelled and fascinated.

“But it didn’t last, why, it never does, does it? She left and never returned. I never heard from her again. That is, until this week! The shock! Her message told me all that had happened those many years ago….I have verified what she said of course”

Dropbear straightened and looked ahead without emotion. “This is why I tell you I am leaving the Freedom Force, to join the Pirates”. The group gaped, numb.

“Yea, it is something I must do, to make amends. I was not there when she needed me. She has since married and does not want me now. But our son…”

“You have a son?” asked Wombie quietly.

Dropbear looked down, he could not meet Wombie’s sad, knowing eyes.

“Yes, Peggy-Sue had our son. He was born in the dark recesses of a cargo freighter. The freighter was raided soon after by pirates and our kid was kidnapped. She traced the ship, which did the deed: The Ship of Doom! This is now my destiny! To become a pirate and find my son: to give him the father he never had!”

The gathered mates began crying and hugging as one.
There had been an ending, but a good beginning as well, at least that was how Dropbear felt.

Postscript

Wombie packed his bags thoughtfully. Mates stick together he thought. Hurls came in, and the rest, carrying their bags. “There is one other thing that I didn’t understand last night, Wild Wombat” said Hurley with a frown. “What is Dropbear’s special power?”
Wombie grinned. “Haven’t ya worked it out yet? Why, it’s glamour. When he looks forlorn, ya have to adore him. What a nifty power to have!”

The soon-to-be pirates nodded, thoughtfully. Of course.

Welcome back Jaws. Everyone's been busy lately, so not a lot happening on the Southern Seas thread. Sunday has been really quiet I see.

I've nothing to report: I wrote most of one of me stories but it reads like a Mills & Boon romance. I'll have a think about how to make it relevant to Galciv. Don't want to be known as a romance writer! Or do I? Is there any money in writing romances?

That was a rhetorical question. ;)

Is there any money in writing romances?
End of quote

Yes, if you adopt a female pen name.
But you have to get kind of porno in the sex scenes now or it wont be accepted. And you have to write them from a female point of view. Or again it won't be accepted or sell.
Oh I can do that easy. Let's see:

She held him tightly. His manly hands caressed her rythmically. She sighed and...

See! I can see the money rolling in already. Indeed, I'll put this scene in my story, called 'Hot and Steamy on the High Seas'.
Killa more like, "as she passed his throbbing organ over the threshold of her womanhood, she felt a tingling sensation all over her body as his manly hands caressed her rhythmicaly."

They are pretty graphic these days.

Or in meta story form.

Quinn and Killa cared not about the consequences of their forbidden love. (insert passage above)

LMAO No. Forbidden. Heretofore there has been no incestuous stories. Closest was Kit dancing with his half aunt Cotal.

Oh.I can't write like that.I thought I was being saucy. So I shouldn't give up my day job yet.

HEHE. My wife is cracking up as we speak. She used to claim it wasn't that bad. Then I got her a romance novel and showed her. She's having hysterics. But a guy just can't make any money at it unless he pays some female to read it and know it and go out to all the book signings :)

Hey, Jaws! Welcome back to Sydney Harbour!

Pontius - would a romance novel look good if it had

"From the producers of 'Arwan Does Riverdell' and 'Wet Wookies'"

written at the bottom?

No? It wouldn't?

(:(

Hehe, I'm working on my next chapter myself - no romance in it, but I'm keen to see where killa can work some romance into the plot.

I'll post a bit more of habib's amateur porn while we're waiting to get yous fired up...

(like I said, I can't take credit for this, I'm just the redistributor)

Title screen:
SIK HEKTIC ROCKY MAKES PORNO SEX WITH FULLY SIK CHIX
DIREKTOUR: HABIB

(Habib's running the camcorder, all we see is Rocky and some chick)

Habib: "Now, allright, Rocky, I want you to take your clothes off, get naked, and then get on the bed and pound her! Give it to her! Come on, hurry up!"
Rocky: "Man, what are you talking about? You said nothing about taking my clothes off!"
Habib: "Omigawd, mate, just get on the bed and do it! Hurry up!"
Rocky: "No, NO!"
Habib: "Look, be a professional, man, come on!"
Girl: "What's going on, Rocky! What's he talking about?"
Rocky: "Look, shut up! You don't have to worry about it, allright?"
Girl: "I thought we were going to the movies..."
Habib: "We're not going to the movies, we're making one! Get on the bed!"

(Habib taped over the rest, so we don't see what happens :) )

The Sound of Quacking

Nesting

Quack peered at his new apartment.

It had been Senator Coffeedragon’s before the Senator had been officially declared missing in action. Now Quack had been living here for a couple of weeks and was loving it. Quack turned to Cypher with an excited grin and said, “What do you think? Pretty cool, huh?”

Cypher nodded slowly. “Yessss.”

“But what?”
“Welllll.”
“Well what?”
“It needs a bit of a clean doesn’t it?”

Quack eyed the cluttered kitchen sink, the filthy floors, the lounge room couch with stacked pizza boxes, the coffee table heaped with beer tins, half-eaten pizza and cigarette stubs.

Quack directed a puzzled look at Cypher. “Do you think?”

Cypher shot a hard look at the purple duck. “Let’s put it this way, mate. I wouldn’t let Mrs Pax see this mess. She’d have a fit and you’d be pillow-stuffing”.

Quack looked again at his nest. “Oh.”

Obsession

Rainbird was lost in thought.

Her thoughts kept returning to the Galactic Peace Ball and the very cute duck she had spied. The duck with the long graceful neck and the fluffy tail feathers. After he had chucked behind the potted plant (and quite surprised the Spymaster who had been lurking there) the duck had become the life of the party.

Then, the sheer violence he had displayed during the Peace Ball riot still gave her the shivers. She had always had a thing for rough Easterners. Yet, Rainbird knew that she could reform the young duck and make him into a good, quiet homemaker.

Rainbird sighed. If only she could get an opportunity to get her claws into him. She had almost got him too, until she dithered and tried to play hard to get. The lesson had been learnt though. ‘A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush’ she thought, reflectively.

Rainbird made her plans for entrapment. ‘I want the duck...and I’m going to get him!’

Forbidden Love

The Flowergirl became a Nun.

It happened quickly, as these things often do. One moment she had been a vivacious light-hearted wisp of a girl. The next thing she was swathed in black and reciting Hail Marys.

Why this happened is not known for sure. One theory is that she had fallen for KitWarrior. But the revelation that she was his half-aunt had so shocked her that she looked for purpose in her life elsewhere. She joined a monastery and during her sequesterment she found her spiritual self.

However, the monastery had a policy of work-placement in order to earn money for the Order, and for some reason the Flowergirl became Quack’s housemaid. As they say, the rest is history.

One thing led to another, and the Flowergirl and Quack hit it off. He was witty, could tell uplifting stories till the cows came home (she loved the story about Sergeant Stubby), and had an eye for detail. What he lacked in tidiness, he made up with animal magnetism.

Quack thought the Flowergirl was charming, naive, and cultured. They couldn’t take their eyes off each other. Nonetheless, the Flowergirl was a Nun and devoted to her calling. Indeed, Quack respected Flowergirl’s calling and around her he was a model of sobriety and chivalry. He took no liberties with his housemaid.

One weekend, the Flowergirl finished cleaning early. Quack invited her to a Tea dance before Midnight Mass, and on the Ship of Doom, this meant Sunday afternoon at the Doom Disco. The disco lights flashed rhythmically as the couple danced together. The dance floor was half full and jiving to the music.

Killa nudged Wombat and nodded towards the Flowergirl and Quack. “There’s nothing as blind as love, Wombie”.

“Aw, don’t say that”, said Wombie, grinning at the couple. “They make a lovely couple. I wonder what the kids would look like?”

Killa shuddered. He too had a mental image of such a union.

However, other less friendly eyes watched the couple on the dance floor. When the Flowergirl went to powder her nose, the other person followed her closely.

Jealousy

The Flowergirl looked in her purse but her powder was gone.

Rainbird saw her opportunity and sidled up. “After some powder lovie?”

The Flowergirl looked relieved. “Thanks, I seem to have misplaced mine”. She began powdering her nose.

Rainbird looked over. “Here, let me fix your hair”.

“It's very kind of you to offer to help me”, said the Flowergirl. “I’m called Flowergirl, by the way”.

The Rainbird grinned. “I'm delighted, Flowergirl. I’m Rainbird. And what a gorgeous little dress you’re wearing. The duck can’t keep his eyes off you”.

”Can’t keep his eyes off me?”

”Come, my dear, we are women. Now, let's not pretend we don't know when a gander notices us.”

Rainbird straightened Flowergirl’s simple, gauzy, cool blue dress. “There we go. You look very pretty”.

Flowergirl looked troubled. “But Quack notices everybody and everything. He’s not interested in me. I’m a Nun!”

”There's no need to feel so defensive, Flowergirl. You are quite attractive, you know. The gander would hardly be a duck if he didn't notice you”.

”I hope you're joking”.

”Not at all”.

”But I've never done a thing to...”

”But you don't have to, my dear. There's nothing more irresistible to a duck than a woman who's in love with him”.

”In love with him?”

”Of course. And what makes it so nice is ... he thinks he's in love with you”.

”But that's not true”.

”Surely you've noticed the way he looks into your eyes. And you know, uh, you blushed in his wings when you were dancing just now”.

Flowergirl put her hands to her cheeks. She realized the other woman was right.

Rainbird laughed gaily. ”Don't take it to heart. He'll get over it soon enough I should think. Ducks do, you know”.

”Then, I should go. I mustn't stay here” groaned Flowergirl in a panic.

Rainbird’s heart leapt. Her competition was going to leave! She tried not to show her joy. After a moment of confusion, Flowergirl held back a sob, grabbed her handbag and left for the exit, quickly.

Rainbird laughed aloud when Flowergirl had gone. “Goodbye, Flowergirl. I'm sure you'll make a very fine Nun”.

Confusion

Killa and Wombie found Flowergirl sobbing near the Ship of Doom chapel.

Killa looked concerned. “What’s wrong? You’re Quack’s housemaid aren’t you?”
Flowergirl nodded her head and wept into her handkerchief.
Wombie took Flowergirl’s hand and led her to a seat. “Sit down, Flowergirl. Tell us what happened”.

”Well, I -- I was frightened”.

”Frightened? Was anyone unkind to you? Was Quack unkind to you?”

”Oh, no! No, I-I was - I was confused. I-I felt -- I've never felt that way before. I couldn't stay. I knew that here I'd be away from it. I'd be safe”.

”What is it you can't face?” asked Wombie.

”I can't face him again”.

”Him? Quack? TheQuack? Are you in love with him?

”I don't know! I don't know! Rainbird said I was. She - she said that he was in love with me, but I-I didn't want to believe it. Oh, there were times when we would look at each other. Oh Wombat, I could hardly breathe”.

Wombat glanced at Killa and said to Flowergirl ”Did you let him see how you felt?”

”If I did, I didn't know it. That's what's been torturing me. I was there on God's errand. To have asked for his love would have been wrong. Oh, I couldn't stay, I just couldn't. I'm ready at this moment to take my vows. Please help me”.

Wombat shook his head in denial. “Flowergirl, the love of a duck and a woman is holy, too. You have a great capacity to love. What you must find out is how God wants you to spend your love”.

”But I pledged my life to God, I - I've pledged my life to his service”.

”Flowergirl, if you love this duck, it doesn't mean you love God less. No. You must find out. You must go back”.

Killa stood and looked serious. “Flowergirl, you must climb ev'ry mountain, Search high and low, Follow ev'ry by-way, Every path you know, Ford ev'ry stream, Follow ev'ry rainbow, 'Till you find your dream. A dream that will need All the love you can give, Everyday of your life, for as long as you live.

Wombat nodded in agreement and held Flowergirl’s hand. “Yes Flowergirl. Climb ev'ry mountain, Ford ev'ry stream, Follow ev'ry rainbow, ‘Till you find your dream”.

Note: I think we all know how this story pans out. Still, I can put a twist in it if anyone cares for another chapter. I must warn that the next chapter would have a steamy sex scene of the type that now appears in romance novels. I have already prepared notes concerning moves that a duck and a woman might make. I would rather not write such fiction.

"HALibut play something mellow"

~Nobody does it better
Makes me feel sad for the rest
Nobody does it half as good as you
Baby you're the best~

Jaws was sitting down in his aqua chair on board the Pointer sipping on a glass of bollinger noticing the way the light refracted through the rather fine crystal of the glass.

Since he had been away, all manner of things had happened to the Pirates and the family that is GROSS..

He was particularly pleased that the Wombat had returned from his ‘walkabout’ and now that Wayward had gone back to his father he felt a sense of loss. He was thinking about the holiday the two of them had in Vanuatu and now things seemed empty without the little fella around.

Killa was up to his usual tricks although even some of his latest stunts were getting a bit strange. Looking through his wine collection of 1,000 bottles Jaws selected a big Mclaren Vale shiraz. “Think I’ll send this to the doeful looking one.. I think those last batch of eucalyptus tipped him over the edge”

Q or Quack or dad what was he up to, the Flowergirl and Rainbird, he who had been such an inspiration reduced to this, living in squalor and moping around like a lovesick duckling. “I need to do something” Jaws thought.

~I wasn't looking
But somehow you found me
I tried to hide from your love light
But like heaven above me
The spy who loved me
Is keeping all my secrets safe tonight~

It was good to see Hurley was still as suave and sophisticated as ever. “I should really invite him over to the Pointer to discuss the situation” he thought, “I’m sure he would have some useful suggestions”

~And nobody does it better
Though sometimes I wish someone could
Nobody does it quite the way you do
Why'd you have to be so good~

It was also very pleasing to Jaws to see the way Cypher has taken to his drop bear training as well as Ashlyn’s obvious skills in all things military. “What a team they make” he thought.. He noticed that Cypher was concerned about not breaking into the front page yet, “It doesn’t matter where you are , it’s the taking part, falling on peoples heads, squashing them and then afterwards downing a Bundy that counts” thought Jaws

~The way that you hold me
Whenever you hold me
There's some kind of magic inside you
That keeps me from running
But just keep it coming
How'd you learn to do the things you do~

All was not lost however at least Pontius was still very much in command of the situation ably assisted by the ever resourceful Kit Warrior and Gerraken was as elusive as ever.

~And nobody does it better
Makes me feel sad for the rest
Nobody does it half as good as you
Baby, baby, darling you're the best~

Jaws was also impressed be bpleshek and the way he was contributing to GROSS and that EBZ has suddenly surfaced things aren’t so bad after all.

~Baby you're the best~

“Ah well, post holiday blues” pondered Jaws
The glass was now empty…. “I need a mission” he thought “ think I’ll go and see the Captain”

“HALibut set course for the Doom”

And now on channel two, It's the Hobbit tossing championship of the meta. Brought to you by your favorite movies of Studio Mayhem, the people who brought you Arwen does Rivendell, Arwen does Bree, Arwen uncovered in the misty mountains, and every male's favorite, Arwen does the Lady of the Wood...

Well it's a great day for the 6th and final round. Last years champ Pontius is in 4th. He's fouled twice and really not been that accurate. His new technique has not produced the results he's looking for.

First up is Gerakken. He's drawn Frodo for this round, a good light draw. There he goes. Notice the belt heave technique here. Not the furthest but always in play.

Arrrrrrrghhhhhhhh. Aaaaaaaaaaaaa crunch. 56 meters, our new leader!!! Now that was a throw Dan.

Next up, is Wombat. Now wombie may look small, but he uses the spin technique much like a discus thrower. he's drawn Pip.

Arrrrrrrgggggghhhhh.... Ohhhhhh that was a long one!!! Oh but it landed just out of bounds. That looked like a record 60 meters... It's too bad Wombie will have to settle in at 55.6 meters achieved on his 3rd throw and hope for the best.

Next up is Kit and he's drawn Bilbo. Now Ironically we see a third technique, the shotput type throw.

ARRRRRRRGHHHHHHH... Oh it looks like a long one.... 57.9 metres. and it's good. A new record...

Our final competitor is Pontius and it looks tough, He's drawn the tub of lard Sam. I don't see it's possible. Pontius grabs him by the shoes. We'll see what this hammer throwing technique of his can do. Ohhhhhh loook at that spin

ARRRRRRRRRRGHHHHH1!!!!! Whoa this is long. Ahhhhhhhhhh!!! OH MY. Pontius has impaled Sam on the measuring stick. But it's inbounds. Well Dan, these things happen you know. 60 metres!!!! 60 meters... He's done it!!! He's done it.....The Gold medal for Hobbit throwing goes to the Pontius one. Lets get an interview.

Pontius what do you have to say.

"How bout some Dwarf Tossing next year?"
