Minimap zoom

I cant zoom.

The small buttons changes so it looks like they are pressed in and releases fine when I dont click, but it never zoom anything.

Was with a new game.

Gonna reinstall galciv and see if it helps.

Nope, didnt help. Still cant zoom. Using Win2K professional, gonna try at home tonight and see if it works on my XP-system.

The closest the window can currenly zoom is into 3x3 sectors, so if that's the size galaxy you're playing at then it won't allow the zoom feature...play at Gigantic for the full effect ;)

In the future, we'll need to either disable the zoom buttons for this size galaxy, or allow the player to zoom in even further. The real question is...how far in do you really need to zoom? I'm fine with the current limitations, but more hardcore players may want to zoom in as close as possible.

Opinions?

No, I like the current 3x3 max zoom. Further would be a bit much.

where are these zoom buttons? I cant see any. All i have is a strangle looking black square just over one sector in size in to top left corner of the minimap (on a huge map) also the main map relocates to this area after each turn. I am running ME
