LucasArts has announced that the sequel to the best selling Star Wars game, Star Wars: Battlefront, will be released the same day as the Episode III: Revenge of the Sith DVD. November 1st should be marked firmly in all Star Wars fans calenders as it will allow fans to complete their DVD experience but at the same time extend it with Battlefront II.
Pandemic Studios will be taking helm of this project, the group responsible for Mercenaries and Full Spectrum Warrior, and they promise new features such as space battles. The sequel will continue the tradition of players jumping in the hot seat of the epic battle scene from Star Wars, allowing players to experience new locations, vehicles and characters. Players will also be able to play Jedi or Empire heroes as they battle it out on PS2, Xbox, PSP and PC later this year.
