Killer of Three Police Officers Convicted
Video Game Link Thrown Out
Devin Moore has been convicted of killing three Alabama police officers after stealing one's gun. The conviction comes after jurors ignored his claim that he didn't know what he was doing was wrong. Moore and his attorneys claimed that he was incapable of knowing right from wrong due to his hours of playing video games, like the Grand Theft Auto series, and an abusive childhood.
Moore, who was 18 at the time, has been quoted as saying, "Life is a video game; everybody has to die sometime," soon after his arrest. The victims of the horrible crime have not let the video game issue drop. Instead they have filed a civil suit against Take-Two Interactive and two retailers for sales of the games.
