Bugs in new beta

Hello everyone,

I´m pretty new to this game, so I don´t know if most of the things I noticed are already mentioned, but here I go anyway.

-The map zoom. I don´t know if its just me, but I can´t find the zoom buttons anywhere. As I´m playing on Win ME and someone else reported this also using ME, mayby this is the reason?

-Attack Question. I get the question, asking if I really want to attack, but no matter what I do then, only hitting ESC closes the screen, which leads me to attack anyway, so what´s the point?

-Bonus points at race creation. Just to test it out, I put all 10 points into speed, but my starting ships still have only 2 MP, now this doesn´t seem right.

-AI behavior. I encountered AI Survey- and Colony ships at turn 12 moving at speed 4. Now give me a break, there is no way the AI could have researched that fast and I really really REALLY hate strategy games, where the AI doesn´t play by the rules.

Hmm...that's bizarre...

There are supposed to be little plus and minus buttons above the minimap to let you zoom. I don't know what would make them not appear on WinME. You can use the + and - keys from the numpad in the meantime.

When you hit the Yes or No button, it doesn't close the screen?

Sorry, there was a bug when initializing the abilities. The AI, however, get bonus points just like the human player, and they put 2 points in at the beginning.

What Yes or No button? Seems the same thing that makes the +/- buttons disapear, also kills those. The only butten I can see is a DONE butten (below the message window, right side), but if I hit it, nothing happens.

I like the zoom. On a gigantic galaxy it is very useful.

I wonder, would it be possible to have the zoom feature center on the sector where the selection box is? I find that I am tempted to try to move the zoomed minimap to try to see the sectors around the selection box.

Cheers,
Jack

I did an unistall/install and now the buttons are all there. So, at least those two points are solved.

Greetings and happy hunting,
