Paramount Delays Cause Shift

Variety reports that the movie rights to Splinter Cell have switched studios due to management changes at Paramount. Michael Ovitz, Clancy's longtime manager, is reportedly already close to a deal with Dreamworks and has Daniel Pyne, of The Manchurian Candidate, on board to draft the script. Former writer, Peter Berg left the project to work on another thriller, The Kingdom, while amazingly the executive producers, Tom Clancy and Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, have stayed with the project.

You know, I caught a good chunk of House of the Dead last week and it truly was a terrible movie. Just lame in every sense of the word.
