Windows Malfunction

This might seem like a small problem but its a big issue for me.

After installing DesktopX I had no problems and everything seemed Ok but then I had to unintall it because it wasnt loading the themes properly, after un-installing DX I still cant see my start bar or anything on the lower part of my screen because everytime I open a window the windows fill up the entire screen and hides the taskbar- how can I fix this immediately I dont want to install Desktop X again before its fixed ..... right click the taskbar, properties, check - keep on top of windows

if it's already checked - uncheck it, apply then check it again then apply - sometimes needed to wake it up
