Error sds004 - cannot download anolomy.m__

Last night I installed a new hard drive in my home computer. When I tried to reinstall galciv, after about 2 hours of downloading I walked away (and watch tv letting the computer do its thing). This morning I had this error code, and nothing apparently worked. I don not know how long into the process this error occured (I was doing some autocad work at the time and letting it run in the background), except to say that after 2 hours it wasn't showing.

So, two issues. Why does it take so long to download (56k modem)?

What it the error, and can it be resolved. The two issues might be related.

Thanks.

Error part 2.

Just tried to download here at work.

Drengin loads ok, but the first time I click on games, the screen flashes and nothing occures.

The second time it switches over.

Then when I click on the galciv button, I get an run time error 54, some message saying graphic not found, then it shuts drengin down.

Any help and or advice.

Well, if you're doing a complete re-install, it's a lot of big gfx files to download, so it will take quite awhile on a 56k dialup, assuming that you're able to get that high of a transfer rate when you log on.

As for the error, I'm going to have to refer you to T-Man.

A: sds0004 error --- Working on this problem now. Should have a new build to correct this in the next couple of days.

B: Why does it take so long to download (56k modem)? --- The initial game is about 41MB so depending on what speed you connect at will make a difference on how fast you can download it.

C: Then when I click on the galciv button, I get an run time error 54 --- This is do to a file missing. But I suspect that you may have an older version of DGM too. But if not I want to try and fix this problem because I cannot reproduce it. So if you will, please run drengin.exe with the /d parameter to turn on extra debugging info. When DGM comes up click on Games, then on GalCiv. If you get the error again please send me the debug.err file in the drengin.net directory (email: [email protected]). I'll take a look at that and see what I find out.
