Color coded messages to other races in the diplomacy "speak to" panel is sometimes blue.

I think this is an initial setting problem because it always happens if it is a dialogue where no trad requests/demands have been selected since the last save/reload operations. Once a trade or demand has been selected the correct colors are used.

Cheers,
Jack

I'm a bit confused by what you mean...could you be more specific on how I can reproduce this?

Cari,

Bring up a saved game (I am not certain about a new game). Go to the speak to screen and press the "send" button. Don't select anything at all before pressing the send button. If you successfully recreate what I saw the word "great" will appear in the dialog area in blue. If you have selected any other proposal acceptable to the other party, even if you then deselect all of them, and then click the send button the word "great" will appear in the dialog area in green.

Cheers,
Jack

Ok, I reproduced this, although I'm wondering if I should fix this or just make the AI make a smart ass response if you try to trade nothing. :)

LOL...we could get you a dictionary of American slang. We have all sorts of colorful language. :)

I think "pazzo" would be pretty close.

I had a co-worker from London that insisted that Americans don't speak English, which started the usual debate about what the English language was and who spoke it. Eventually we agreed to call our two respective "languages" American and British. LOL
