Gorgeous Night

Tears welled up in my eyes, just thinking how great and good God is, and how much He's blessed me.

I live in Wisconsin, and it's so cold, so I haven't been on my horse much, but last night I couldn't stand it. It was snowing lightly then heavily on and off, and I fed them their hay at about 7:30. I nervously climbed on my gelding, my heart pounding in my throat, and was overcome by a great sense of joy. I was nervous because the last time I actually rode him, he had just had shoes put on him, and he went nuts and started bucking and wouldn't stop, not even when I got off of him. But I was comforted by the fact that their was much snow on the ground incase he bucked me off. It was silent last night. I just sat on him and watched my mare eating her hay, I saw the glowing lights of our house through the free falling snow. Tears welled up in my eyes, just thinking how great and good God is and how much he's blessed me. It was so picturesque, something out of a childs picture book. It was foggy around me, but beautiful. I looked over to the nearby hilly field that my mare dreamed of running through. I saw, very faintly, the silhouette of the pine trees behind it. It was so gorgeous and I felt like God had created that moment just for me.
