Any release date for the GalCiv?

I really like what I've seen here at GalCiv.com! Can't wait to start playing this game! But... When will it be released and available here in Sweden? Haven't been able to find any date?

Would love to try it. Perhaps I should buy beta2 when it's availiable here (if I can afford that)

It won't be able before Q1 2003.... (:(
That means however that the game will have been correctly tested ;)

Oh I see... Waiting and waiting. Is it wort buying the beta release? Don't like bugs and game crashes all the time...

Currently playing a lot "Startrek: Birth of the federation" A old game but still one of the best I ever tried! Lost my copy of IG2.. Liked that game too...

I'd wait until it's released. Betas are always going to be somewhat problematic. And worse, they're not fun.

Entrepreneur was a game we did a public beta on and I really felt bad for the testers because the game was absolutely awful until the last month.

GalCiv is much the same way, it's really quite awful game-play wise at this stage and will probably be that way until November.

So the only reason to join the beta is to have input into the game since we're implementing feedback into builds as we get it.
