String not found error in new tech - Controlled Gravity?

The first tech for increasing the potential range of a ship is Controlled Gravity and under abilities, where I would expect to see something like "Range +10" is:
"- String Not Found +10"

Most of the key game files seem to be text files. Is this something that I can insert myself and have it work? If so what should the value be and where should it be placed?

Same problem for the "Gravity Mastering" tech.
Is this cosmetic or is something crucial missing from the the underlying technologies that will prevent the newly implemented ship range concept from increasing beyond the starting point?
