Hyperpaint

I recently updated my ATI 9250 driver to the latest 5.8 from 5.5 that came with the cd and noticed that the hyperpaint option is not available anymore under the advanced settings of windowblinds. I read that the new driver is supposed to have new features not in the 5.5v and didnt know if anyone that is familiar with video drivers could explain what the driver has added and if it automatically has the hyperpaint support or if I should revert back to the 5.5 driver.
