Objectdock help!!!

docks

Hey here is my problem. When I installed ObjectDock Plus in my system, it went well...everything was recognized and I automatically got 2 docks....one on the top of my screen that has some random things in it like My Computer and Weather. It also installed a second dock with tabs that were Apps, Main, Internet...blah blah....

I changed a backgraound in the objectdock settings and everything was reset. I was left with one dock on the top and no tabbed dock, and the icons all of a sudden became question marks, like it can't find the icons. My hd is E:, not the traditional C:, so I am assuming that is the problem there, but where is my other tabbed dock? I have created one on my own since then but the tabs are "red" "orange" "yellow" "green" and they are not grouped together like they once were, and I really dont have the patience to completely build it up just to lose it again.

Any ideas what I can do?

I have also uninstalled and reinstalled about 20 times hoping it would bring it back to the way that it was, but so far nothing.

So annoying

Normally, you would set up your docks the way you want them, and then save your theme via: "Right-click dock > Dock Settings > General category > Save theme as.. button.

This would normally write the theme to the themes folder inside ObjectDock sub-directory, as well as writing to cache.

You can try clearing the cache, which is written into your Local Settings folder under your account. Here is a mini tutorial on the subject of clearing the cache http://corkyo.wincustomize.com/Articles.aspx?SID=5463&AID=82461

Note - unload ObjectDock prior to clearing the cache. It should also be noted that clearing the cache will force ObjectDock to load with the default settings. You can try saving your theme, but that may save the issue along with it, so it may be better to clear the cache first - and then create your theme from scratch.

If you clear the cache > build a theme > save the theme > reboot to test - and ObjectDock still does not load the saved theme, the issue is most likely in the drive letter.

You could try creating your theme by adding new docks for your theme, allowing you to remove the docks that load with the default settings.

Good luck.

Could not edit my comment, so please be aware that you will need to substitute the correct drive letter for "C" when reading the mini tutorial, as I wrote that one using Windows XP with the default settings.
