REMEMBER!!!!!

REMEMBER!!!!!

The single picture that stands out in my mind!

No it's not the scene of bodies falling out of the twin towers.

No it's not the devastation of the pentagon.

No it's not the twin towers on fire collapsing.

No it's not the look of horror on the faces of New Yorkers.

No it's not the brave firemen rushing into the towers trying to save live.

No it's not the the policemen and women also laying their lives down trying to save innocent women, children and men.

The picture that stands out in my mind the most is:

The jubilant dancing and singing in the streets by THOSE PEACE LOVING PALISTINIANS!
THAT'S WHAT I REMEMBER MOST!

That (And the Iraqis) was bad, but the thing that I remember are the people jumping 100 floors to escape the fire.  Just think what would cause you to do that, knowing certain death awaited.

So many horrific pictures from that day forever burned into my evil conservative heart.

"yep I am turkish and the 2 things that shame me most are.. the way we tried to eradicate the armenians and being allies with germany in ww1"

I don't think being allies with Germany in WW1 was really bad. WW1 was not as clear as WW2 in who was the bad guys and who was the good guys. WW1 was a war between nations, not ideologies.

The idea that the peoples rules by the Turkish should rule themselves was probably good though. But seeing what the Arabs did to the countries they ruled after the Ottoman Empire lost these lands, I think I would have preferred Turkish rule.

agreed about ww1 the lines were blurred.

The cresent on so many arab nations is a leftover from when it met that this nation was under the protection and rule of the Ottomans btw.

I read both your blogs when they were first presented, I should comment more!

Moderateman, I figured such.

But I did not want to repeat my explanation of WW1.
