The website for Dark Age of Camelot's sixth expansion has gone live packed with the usual fixings: screens, artwork and game information. Darkness Rising, as the add-on will be known, is to be available from developer Mythic Entertainment by direct download in October, at a cost of $19.99. The newest add-on will require the original version of the MMORPG and its "Catacombs" expansion.
Darkness Rising will see a new evil appear in the realm, and will allow players to become a Champion of the Realm for the first time. The status symbol that is Champion of the Realm can only come from searching new and old lands for clues to the mysterious uprising. Also new to the game will be Champion status weapons and player-controlled mounts which can be ridden into battle.
