In a deal with MGM Interactive, game developer Bits Studio has managed to acquire the rights to the Sergio Leone movies often called "The Man With No Name" trilogy. Bits has followed that up with announcing that "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" will be the first movie to get the digital update, even though it was the last film in the series.
Bits Studios CEO Foo Katan said that they are looking for the actors to contribute their likeness and voice talents but that due to the age of the movie they will have to contact the estates of the actors, and plan to do so. Katan did mention that they had already acquired the rights to the picture's memorable score saying that the music "is probably the most important aspect we embrace in the game beyond the film itself. They are powerful and unforgettable scores that you really associate with the films."
Although no publisher has been announced for the third person game, it is on schedule to ship for PC, Xbox, PS2, and PSP, next year and will follow a new storyline.
