yes - it exsists in the vista beta/pdc builds no, they are not out yet as xp-skins - maybe when the next major build of windowblinds comes out we will be closer to getting that kind of look. sorry

I think the rumors are that WB5 will be out late this year. And the screenshots we've seen features transparent borders, but no blurring of the content underneat.

I have to say that that style XP skin looks pritty crappy, It cant handle real transparancy so they do the old one pixel on one off trick. It was very clever when windows 95 came out. You could use the same technique with WB if you wanted. As a mater of fact you could run that very skin with Windowblinds, so you dont have to switch to Style XP to use it. However I would recoment you look around for a bit, i sure you can find somehting better looking, and better crafted.
Sorry, Im in a bad mode tonight.

PS, here is a WB 5 screen shot, using real transparancy, this is just a test skin. Wait untill some real skinners get there hands on it. You wont be able to do that with styleXP or any other Hacked UXTheme skin.

i have instaled the XPGlass Version 2.0 from devian art but i don't like and don't work well in windows 2003 server, so i can't wait for WB5

Yusuf is just trolling a little it seems. No reason to stop using Windowblinds. If you want to use one of those Visual Styles then you can convert it in SkinStudio to WB format. I wouldn't ever use StyleXP since it goes against MS in its implementation and doesn't do as much as WB.
I look forward to the proper implementation of transparency with WB5.

I dont even use WB. Well the point is not really to use WB or StyleXP. Its simply about skinning it up. WB is totally different and very advanced to what StyleXP can do. Heck most of us dont even use StyleXP (And i wasnt even talking about it). Most of us just do with UXTHEME patcher and then just download the VS and good to go. WB gives you more control and more options meaning use of more resources on standard PC.

Any chance the devs can give us an idea of what WB5 features (like this transparency) will and won't work in Win2k? If it's at release time, that's ok, but I don't want to go and buy WB5 for my Win2k box and find out that the new cool features are XP-only...

I gotta go with Mormegil on this one...that skin looks really crappy! Not anything close to being transparent.

Yes there is if you get your ass out of windowblinds. Here ou go....

That's not semi-transparent. That's just alternating rows of magic pink in a skin. Blech.

THIS is what he's looking for:

WindowBlinds 5 alpha 1 should be out this month for Object Desktop users.
