Rag Doll Kung Fu Dated

Lionhead Studios' Designer Pushes Game

Valve Software has announced that Rag Doll Kung Fu will be pushed through its Steam content delivery service starting October 12th. The game from Lionhead Studios designer Mark Healey is a 3D side scrolling platformer with a unique twist.

The twist you ask? Not a single animation in the game is scripted but instead driven by "Rag Doll" physics, as the title might suggest. This means that players will have to jump, kick, punch, headbutt, and wield weapons, all using their mouse for movement.

Rag Doll Kung Fu was first shown to the world at last year's Game Developer Conference, when after the showing several Valve employees invited Healey to visit Valve and discuss Steam distribution of Rag Doll Kung Fu.

"Rag Doll was originally just an idea for me and some friends to have some fun making an old style Kung Fu movie," said Healey. "It's amazing to think that a tongue in cheek film project has now evolved into a full game being distributed via Steam. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as my friends and I enjoyed making it."
