Take-Two Pushes New GTA

San Andreas To Return to Retail

Take-Two Interactive announced that sales of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas will re-start come October. The title was pulled from shelves two months ago after it was revealed that it contained a hidden sex scene, dubbed Hot Coffee, due to the mod that unlocked them for viewing. After the scenes were discovered, the Entertainment Software Ratings Board re-rated San Andreas Adults Only, which caused almost all retailers to stop selling the game, leading to a massive recall.

The new PS2 edition, which is lacking the sex scenes, will come with a DVD explaining the backstory and a documentary film called "Sunday Driver." Take-Two will also release a bundle pack for the Xbox that will include Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto Vice City and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. Nothing was announced regarding a new PC version but a patch was released removing the Hot Coffee scenes shortly after the scandal was finalized.
