Mouse Clicking and Scroll Behavior in GalCiv

Apologies in advacne if this issue has already been raised...
Is there any way to make the mouse clicks on all the buttons - and especially the "Done" buttons - activate on a MouseUp event rather than MouseDown? I find it really aggrevating when I start to click on something, decide I want to abort the click but can't. In most Windows UIs, you can cancel a mouse click by moving the cursor away from the button before completely releasing the mouse button. Perhaps there already a mechanism in place for canceling a mouse click I haven't discovered?
And while I'm on the topic of UI pet peeves, has there been any decision on whether to enable use of the mouse wheele to scroll through lists? I did notice that the tiny arrows in previous betas have been replaced by more convention looking scrollbars, so maybe that's a step in this direction.
Thanks!
