Stock Split; Gun Voice Talent Announced

For those of you into the stock market, and who own some Activision stock, you will be pleased to hear that Activision has announced a stock split. The split will affect anyone who is on record as an owner by October 10th, 2005 which will see every three shares gaining a bonus share from the company. Following is some more business related mumbo-jumbo.
"We are thrilled that Activision's record growth and investors' confidence in our future have made this possible," stated Robert A. Kotick, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Activision. "The stock split was motivated by a strong desire on our part to obtain a broader range of investors and improve the market liquidity in our stock and by our confidence that the value of our stock will continue to increase over time."
Along with the business aspects came the announcement of the voice cast for the company's upcoming third person action game, Gun. The title will be the first from long standing Tony Hawk developer Neversoft since its 2002 Spider-man game. Gun will be released this fall for Gamecube, Xbox/360, PS2, PSP and PC complete with Hollywood voice talents. Brad Dourif of Deadwood fame, Tom Skerritt of Texas Rangers, Lance Henriksen of The Quick and The Dead, and Billy the Kid's Kris Kristofferson will all lend their voices to the digital western which is set for release this fall.
