Rumors of Cyan Worlds last minute return from death were confirmed by the resourceful Gamespot today. The rumors started as rumors so often do these days, from blogs, with the newest bombshell being dropped by former Cyan production designer Bill Slease. Slease told the world in his blog that Cyan re-opened yesterday and he also stated that he will not be rejoining the team, instead taking the temporary closure as an opportunity to pursue other options.
Cyan Worlds founder Rand Miller confirmed the rumors in a brief interview with Gamespot stating "We have managed to step back from the brink--after stepping off." He also exchanged a short summation with San Jose Mercury News, and even added a little light humor, "Managed to pull a rabbit out of the hat (that I can't give details about yet), so we rehired almost everybody. Crazy industry. It's giving me whiplash!"
