Ubisoft announced today that the forth installment in its popular stealth series, Splinter Cell, will be released in Spring 2006 for current and next-gen consoles as well as the PC. Unspecified is if the next-gen releases will include a release for Sony's Playstation 3, which has the same release window. Little information other than the target release date and platforms were released with the announcement but Ubisoft plans to "thrust players into a new breed of game play that promises to innovate and revolutionize the Splinter Cell franchise."
