Mass Surrenders?

I'm about 150 turns in on my first game with Beta 2 and over the past 20 turns I've had 8 pop-ups that have stated something along the lines of: "We can't survive in this cruel galaxy and have decided to surrender ourselves to

Was it the same race or different races?

Multiple pop-ups. Different races each time except once the same race announced it's surrender twice, a few turns apart.

Three were major and the rest were minor. Right now only two of the major races are left and that's because that flurry of surrenders I reported left only two of the starting races to continue on.

It was one of the major races, the Torian's, that surrendered twice.

There is a bug where the race can surrender to itself.

remember a similar bug in GC Gold where one race would surrender to another, than a turn later, the opposite would happen.

Lost two of races to me, the Dregins to a minor race.
