Can you give me an example of a DesktopX-theme which just is a 'bundle of files'?. I assume that they were in a zip-file when you downloaded them?

Try and rename the zip-extension to .desktop and then double-click on the theme.

To see the file extensions open Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder Options > View > and untick 'hide extensions for known file types'

Ok, Aqua_Winna5 is a rather old desktop theme and does not seem to be compatible with the new version of DesktopX. I downloaded the theme and manually copied the .dxtheme files into the DesktopX\Themes folder and then loaded the theme through 'Load Desktop' from within DesktopX.

However, the theme did not load correctly and caused an error leading to DesktopX crashing. I don't know wether the same thing will happen on your computer.

As a rule of thumb, expect that any theme that has the extension .dxtheme rather than .desktop was made for DesktopX version 2 or earlier and might not work with DesktopX 3.
