Bad Styling Help!

After several tries of skinning active and inactive Window buttons I only got one state for all 6 button types. There was no documentation I have found about it and Font applying to the checkboxes and radio buttons was also not possible.

black font on a black background: Well-readable... (sarcasm)

The program is not very well-structured and only understandable for those who are actually longterm-working with it. FRUSTRATING!
Someone who is to it the first time does not know all the secrets that program has.
Result: badly designed skins -> Frustration

The program got what it deserved: UNINSTALL!

Maybe you should think about a good help file and easier style edit of the single elements. But for now I am done with that crappy program!

How about a 2-window sight showing the active AND inactive Window the same time where each item could be individually skinned...
How about a more convenient way of editing an item's properties?

Example:

Checkbox
+ Picture to use: blahbleh.tga
+ Font style
* Color
* Size
* Font name
* Bold
* Italic
* Underline
+ more options...

Title bar Minimize button
+ Button active Window
* Normal
* Pressed
* Hover
* Disabled
+ Button Inactive Window
* Normal
* Pressed
* Hover
* Disabled

Shows a slightly easier-to-understand-structure!
Ppl who code in VB.net have their properties box where such a logical structure is used what makes it´easy to understand...

A Skinning wizard that helps you step-by-step producing a skin could also help.

Just my 2 cents

I assume you're using Skin Studio...

There is actually a walkthrough for designing a basic skin. You can find it in the Object Desktop documentation that is downloadable through Stardock Central.

We appreciate your feedback and will take the features you mentioned into consideration.
