WB5 & full screen video playback

When playing video in full screen and with hardware acceleration turned on, the video is not displayed. It just black. Full screen video will play correctly if hardware acceleration is turned off.

Can anyone confirm this?

Do you have multiple monitors hooked up to your system? It's possible you're using a clone configuration and the primary is not set to the monitor on which you're playing the video.

If no, does playback work with WB5Beta unloaded? Windowblinds doesn't mess with any video filters, so I'm not sure why it would be causing this problem.

Plays fine here.

Are you using something like PowerDVD who's hardware acceleration at the best of times is extremely sensitive to any overlays, and thus, lame?

Also, could just be your drivers.

It sounds like an overlay bug.  As in the hardware is saying I can do overlays, but then not providing it correctly.  In which case its a driver bug.  My guess is you have an ATI card?

This is from the troubleshoot report:

You have one monitor in total.

(SyncMaster 703(M)s/ 753(M)s/750(M)s/753(M)v, SyncMaster Magic CM173A(M)) 1 is attached to ASUS RADEON 9600SE
'ASUS RADEON 9600SE - Secondary' also exists as device '\\.\DISPLAY2', but is not attached to the desktop.
'UltraMon Display Mirror Driver' also exists as device '\\.\DISPLAYV1', but is not attached to the desktop and is a mirror driver.
'NetMeeting driver' also exists as device '\\.\DISPLAYV2', but is not attached to the desktop and is a mirror driver.
'RDPDD Chained DD' also exists as device '\\.\DISPLAYV3', but is not attached to the desktop and is a mirror driver.

milksama: no and no

Septimus: no power dvd here but something similar - nero showtime .. and zoom player. I manage to get zoom player working again but not showtime.

Neil Banfield: yep ATI with the latest driver installed

Video is visible when I play it after I've unloaded WB. What do you think?
