WindowBlinds 5, Transparency And Borders... Oh My!

Call me weird - but I miss the days when I could set WindowBlinds to "show borders when maximised" 
With 4.6, I learnt to hack the MaxBorderCutXXX values in the Personality section using SkinStudio to adjust skins that I used regularly. But now that I'm running the WB5 beta, I find things lacking again.
Take the Aura skin for example - I would like for the translucent section to show around the window when maximised. But adjusting the border sizes doesn't seem to help. I'm guessing there is something else in the per-pixel window borders section that can be set, but need some pointers.
Does anyone know if this is possible? Would Stardock consider the return of the generic border setting?
