Here is a list of "string not founds".

With the first upgrade to build Beta 2 I see that some of the "string not found" errors have been corrected, but there are still some left. I propose that everyone that sees any not listed here post them here. One place for the lot of them.

Here is my first one:

In the domestic polocy "economics" screen in the "expenses" column (top right) three lines of them after the line for "GIA" (at least three of them, there is no room to display any more).

The starbase upgrade screen is chock full of them. The entire left side, one above the improvement list, and the two buttons at the bottom.

When reloading a saved game I get a big screen with a picture of a human eye. The eye has what looks like a picture of the western hemisphere over the eye's iris. The text in the text box says "string not found". I have no clue whatsoever what this window is or what it is trying to tell me.

Hmm...is everybody else getting this? My Drengin build at home has updated the files correctly. :(

I don't have these problems. No sign of any problems on the economics screen. The starbase upgrade screen looks fine for me. Will check reloading later.

It looks like I am the only one getting these errors, so I am going to do an uninstall/install and see what happens (sigh).

I don't see any of those errors here, although I did have a couple of 'String not found's when during the one day before the official build.

Reloading save games works fine, if a bit slowly, and the strings on the economics screen are all present.

I haven't had a chance to upgrade a starbase yet, so I'll have to check that later.

After uninstalling and installing the "no string found messages" in the economics screen have dissappeared. I started a new game rather than restarting a saved one and have not gotten to where I saw the others yet.

I have now gotten to all of the places I had the "string not found" conditions I had reported and they have all been corrected by the uninstall/reinstall I did.

Interestingly, there were no error indications given by the DGM (visually on the screen) to indicate that something was not right. Before the uninstall/reinstall I copied the galciv directory and its subdirectories, so if anyone is interested in trying to figure out what went wrong I could zip them up and send it in.
