Before - I Purhcase Object Desktop - Question

Hi Everyone,
I have a IBM - T-42 Laptop Will Window Blinds 5 Work with this Machine (Graphically? with Transparency on?) I have 1gig ram so I do not think Performance should be too much of an issue, but I dont want to plop down $50 for nothing if it doesn't work fully. (I understand the beta means it's still being worked on too - I'm ok with that.)

Anyway - if not - can anyone tell me if it performs well with a Geforce 4-TI4600 128mb on card with a 2ghz machine with 2 gigs ram. (Old by todays standards - but serves me well)

I appreciate the input before I purchase - Thanks!

I can't see that you would have any problems. Before I got my GeForce FX 5200 card I used everything with very little slow down. Window Blinds never slowed anything down. Only the widgets, and sometimes Object Dock. Now there is none at all. Don't know about your card. I have a gig of ram too, though. 2.6ghz. You will really enjoy the programs. Once you get it, you'll never go back!!

Sounds like it should work. Even if you can't run the beta there is also the 4.6 release version which will definitely run for you. I recommend the full Object Desktop purchase which includes a lot more than just Windowblinds. I also recommend a subscription to this site $19.95 US which allows unlimited downloads and your own websites, gallery and a whole lot more.

I have a 4200 and it works (after the very first beta), so it should work for you.

Object Desktop is one of THE best deals around. And next year it will only cost you $35.00.
I highly recommend it.

The comfort level with WB 5 would depend more on what OS and what videocard you have than how much ram, at least if you have a normal amount. I'd get the specs and see if there are any known issues. You don't have to get WB5 while it is beta, either. You can use 4 until they fully release it.
