Gamespot reports that Mindware Studios, the people that brought you Cold War, will again take something from the '80s and turn it into a video game. Instead of the Soviet Union getting the digital treatment it will be the "Buddy-Cop" movie genre that was so popular in the '80s. Voodoo Nights will pair two loose-cannon cops together, Jack and Samuel, as they try to hunt down a voodoo, gun-totting gang. Luckily, Jack and Samuel have managed to learn a little magic and skill shooting themselves.
Gameplay will focus on the buddy cop setup, allowing players to give basic orders to their partner. A picture-in-picture mode will help players in cooperative mode keeps tabs on each other, and if there is real trouble then players can use "DeadTime," or as everyone else knows it "Bullet Time," to slow their surroundings down. Mindware promises that Voodoo Nights will come with the latest rag-doll physics and multiple solutions to its open-ended gameplay. Voodoo Nights is set to poke Xbox 360 and PC in September 2006.
