Director Steven Spielberg and Electronic Arts have announced that they will be teaming up to develop three original video game titles. DreamWorks SKG and EA Los Angeles will combine forces for the games' concept, story and design.
While few companies have had any big hits with Hollywood to game crossovers, EA has one of the best track records with the Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings franchises selling well. Terms of the multi-year exclusive contract were not announced but EA will own the intellectual property of the games which it will develop, publish and distribute, while Spielberg will get first shot at rights for film or TV.
Think anything good will come of this? Think the PC will get some loving?
