Game lost but no metaverse submission?

I just lost a game in a tiny galaxy and after the Yor conquered my last planet I was dumped to the desktop. No "You Lost" screen, none of the usual game ending status screens and no Metaverse submission.

There were also timing issues during the war. When the Yor would conquer one of my planets during the same turn in which I had completed the construction of a planetary improvement I would get the planet management screen popping up when they now owned the planet.

That is not what we were told would happen.

I remember when I could find no way to win a game, I was told losing games could be posted to the Metaverse.

I could not picture any lost games on the Metaverse for the simple reason when most people find themselves getting hammered they usually just give up and start a new game.

As testers don't you think we have a responsibility to ensure that a lost game progresses just as smoothly and functionally as a won game?

Also, I would see Magus's second comment as a bug unless SD had a good explanation of what the real sequence is. Don't forget that multithreadding is used, which may make it difficult to ensure that this particular case gets handled in a manner that seems realistic to us.

I think both of Magus's observations as bugs, as
I said when I read awhile ago lost games should be posted on the Metaverse.

I do not think we have a responsibility. We paid for the Drengin net to see GC early and are only customers. Any comments we care to make can be helpfull to Stardock but we give our time and comments freely in the hopes of Stardock building a great game.
