As far as I know all you have to do is report whatever you consider a bug here. The Galactic Civilization developers do check this forum.

Lot of bugs, crashs have been reported here.

There are no "rules" for reporting bugs, but this is the only place to get them looked into.

I would recommend a couple of points to make it easier on all of us, both those of us testing and the SD people who have to fix them.

1). Report unconnected bugs in separate threads. Although it is not required, I have a sense that it:
a). makes it easier for SD to address them
b). avoids confusion among all of us
c). makes it easier for us to find out if a bug has already been reported.

2). Try to make the title of a bug report thread be as descriptive as possilbe (within the constraints of the forum's limitation of title character length). As you can imagine, a tread titled "bug report" makes it mandatory that anyone planning to report a bug look through all of the detail of all of such threads if he/she wants to avoid the embarrassment of duplicate reporting of bugs. I tend to forget what has been reported in titles with such uninformative titles, and have gotten to the point of not rechecking them for a bug I have discovered (it really takes WAY too much time to re-read all of those threads).

I suggest the Stardock people make a special thread for bug reports and make it stay on top of the forum. That way people will avoid reporting the same thing a dozen times. And the bug list would be easier to organize

A single thread for reporting bugs? Been there, done that, doesn't work!

A single thread that SD could edit to contain single line entries for each bug they know of? That I like, but SD has already rejected that idea because of the extra staffing it would take to do it. Be assured that Cari DOES keep a list of all reported bugs and their status.

Also, if you are reporting a bug that can be reproduced by a save game (particularly crashes), back up the save game because we ask for them a lot. :) If you have SmartException running (check your system tray) and it generates a .CRA file from a crash, save that to e-mail to us also. The debug.err file from your galciv directory can also be helpful when reporting bugs.
