POSTAL To Hit Screens

Uwe Boll and Running With Scissors have announced that they will be bringing POSTAL to the silver screen. Boll has been part of some of the worst game to movie projects - ever - including "Alone in the Dark", and the rave-based "House of the Dead," but RWS believes that their project will create "the most incendiary game-to-film deal yet." Boll currently has two game-based projects in the works, "Bloodrayne" and "Dungeon Siege" the latter of which he is still shooting in Canada.
"Uwe Boll is the perfect producer-director to make POSTAL," affirmed Running With Scissors' CEO Vince Desi. "He understands the subject matter and has an appreciation and affinity for controversy and political incorrectness. POSTAL has always been about reason and insanity, violence and motivation; producer-director Uwe Boll is simply the right guy to bring that vision to the screen."
Shooting for "POSTAL" is set to begin in 2006 followed by the release in 2007, which will mark the 10th anniversary of the game. Desi has vowed that "Running With Scissors will be creatively involved in this film, from casting to the script."
POSTAL for those of you that don't know, was a highly controversial game upon its release in 1997. Sen. Joe Lieberman used it as the poster child for mindless violence in video games causing it to be black listed in most retail stores. RWS managed to turn the game into a licensee factory, making everything from baby tees to coffee mugs as well as selling over a million units and then producing a sequel.
Who's excited for this movie?!
