SCI Entertainment, the recent purchaser of Eidos has reportedly been approached by various firms interested in the company's franchises. SCI Entertainment, who now brands its games under the Eidos name now has the Conflict, Tomb Raider, Hitman and Carmageddon series as part of its properties.
The Daily Mail via the BBC has said that SCI has become the target of three firms looking to get their mitts on some new franchises. The firms include industry giant Electronic Arts, Midway and private equity firm Apax Partners. The Daily Mail pins Midway as being the front runner in the battle, but as we know, if SCI is something EA really wants, they will get it.
"The board notes today's press comment and confirms that it has received approaches from various parties which may or may not lead to an offer for the company," SCI said in a statement.
