More quirks in Beta 2B

Here's three more things to add to the list:

1. I was allied with the Yor and the next thing I notice is that they are attacking my planets. No pop-ups of any type either them declaring war or no longer being allied.

2. The info about a race's economy and military power on the diplomacy screen seem to bear little relation to reality. I had the Arcerian race down to it's last planet and the diplomacy screen still said they had "average" military and "strongest" economy.

3. Pathfinding for ships on autopilot fails when a warship's path would intersect a freighter's path. This was a real pain after the UP resolution to protect freighters was passed. Even if there were multiple alternate routes for the autopilot to choose from that would allow it to go around the freighter it would stop dead at the freighter.

The autopilot route-finding algorithm has been a bit odd since the first beta but this really points out a potential problem.

Magus, do you have a saved game that can reproduce #1? I could use the information that I can get in the debugger to try and figure out what happened.

I think that we fixed the problem where the strings were displaying under the wrong civ, but maybe there is something messing up the calcualtions. How many other major races were left? The strings are determined in relation to the other races.

Hmm...probably the pathfinding is going to have to take that law into accoung when it tries to calculate the path.

Cari,
It's my current game but the only saves I can give you are from after I noticed that the Yor had declared war on me. If you think it would be at all helpful I can send it to you this evening.

Regarding the diplomacy screen: there were three major races left at the time: Yor, Arcerian and Torian. (This is the same saved game as the above.
