Florida Anti-Game Bill Details

A new bill that is almost identical to California's anti-game bill, which was recently signed into law has been introduced in Florida by Senator Alex Diaz de la Portilla. Bill SB492 contains the same description of what constitutes a violent game, the same 18+ sticker for those games and the same fine, $1,000, will be leveed for those who break the law.
Diaz de la Portilla's bill does have one striking difference though, making it a crime to allow minors access to violent games in arcades. Diaz de la Portilla who has had some trouble with campaign finance laws of late probably doesn't realize just how much of a negative impact such a bill would have on the struggling arcade community. As stated it seems the bill would force owner's to, at the least, create a separate area for their violent games, and at the worst have the area be another room, with no line of sight and with someone standing guard.
