Blizzard has finally announced details about its upcoming expansion to its massively popular MMORPG, World of Warcraft. As rumored the title will be The Burning Crusade and will have the Blood Elves as the new Horde playable race, with the Alliance race still to be announced, although it has been rumored to be the Pandaren or Draeni races. The expansion will chronicle the ongoing Legion's desire to crush all life on Azeroth and will include a new continent, the Orc home world of Outland, formerly Draenor.
Outland, after some help from the Orc's, has become the new home to the Blood Elves, chosen after they were removed from the Alliance's grace upon the original coming of the Legion. The Blood Elves home will be reachable only by the Dark Portal and Blizzard has promised that the Outland is just a small piece of new content.
The expansion will also raise the level cap to level 70, forcing level 60 players to grind once again as they strive for the new loot, abilities and talents that will also be offered. Players will also receive new high-end dungeons in Azeroth and the Outland as well as flying mounts for Outland travel The last bombshell that Blizzard dropped is the introduction of socketed items, see Diablo loot, and a new profession, Jewelcrafting, which will most likely be used for socketing items.
The official site will be updated with additional screens, trailers and news as it comes out and will probably host the Beta Sign-Up announcement when it drops.
