Any amount of troops whatsoever will take any planet during invasion. 100 against 30,000? the 100 win. Defenders never win no matter what the odds are.

From what I've seen there is a technology factor in the battles, so you will generally win with ease simply because the AI hasn't researched much. I know for a fact that in earlier builds I tried a higher difficulty and the AI did research enough that it could properly resist invasions.

AI is the equivlent of a 7-year-old right now on normal before it was the AI of a 3-year-old.... and the first beta (wasn't even born) by the end of the Betas and the game gets released... AI should be the equivlent of the President you hate because: 1)To you, He/she seems stupid 2)Has different Ideolgy 3)Stuff i can't say here... 4)all others

Just played some more and I did actually take losses of up to 20% on some invasions, though the battles were generally of the 100 vs 6000 sort (with me losing 0 to 20 and them all dying).

However the tech factor that I mentioned above seems to be the big thing, but I don't know how that is calculated. In my case though it was something like ~30k vs 3k.

So I guess the real problem is how is that rating determined and how does it affect the battle outcome? I would imagine in Jack's case he simply has a very high tech rating when he invades, and thus mever takes losses....

Remember that not all the 6000 are soldiers, you may have only 100 soldiers and 5900 citizens that don't know how to use a weapon.

I agree... the soldier population should be listed instead of the total population. I *have* manged to twart soem incoming invasions but the losses are still ridiculous.

I know i always loose a war Because of that (In GC1 even if i had a weak military i could still stand up to Them all for a while) SO, i STRONGLY recomend that you guys make it Better (Least show WHY were gettin Owned by this guys...) Or possibly, Make a funnier system for planet invansion then GC2 would be awesome for its state...

I've had a couple of cases where the invader has lost. But the attacker does seem to have an overwhelming edge atm.

This whole system will be getting a major rework this month.  It won't bey particularly fancy but it's still very primitive.
