win xp crashes on galciv startup

This is not really a bug report. It's an observation of a problem I had with a particular set of graphics driver add-ons. I thought that it might be good to keep a note on it.
When I started up galciv, windows xp pro crashed with the message:
Invalid_kernel_handle
stop 0x00000093 (0x00000084,0x00000000,0x00000000,0x00000000)
I've tracked it down to some new drivers that I installed for my stereo glasses that I downloaded from Nvidia (v30.87)
The drivers allow the use of stereo glasses in the various windows flavours. Regardless of whether the setting to have them on by default, by hot key or just off, it would crash the OS.
Hope that this was worth noting
